If, similar to what happened with Wade Phillips, the team completely lays down against San Francisco in a prime time, standalone game, I have a feeling that this sentiment of his will change.

Breaking News: We all knew Jerry was going to say this!!!! "I've have had no thoughts, I'm not going to fire anyone, we don't operate like this!" It'll be the same mess we hear in the off season as well. Get ready for Jason Garrett 2.0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why would they mutiny on Big Mike?

These players know that have it great here and the game checks arrive every week.

Ain't no Dan Campbell's here
Don't know. It happened to Wade Phillips. Not sure why McCarthy would be exempted from the possibility.

I am okay with this. I don't think a coaching change at this point is going to make any difference. The problem with this team is not one thing. It is many things starting with the roster. They just do not have the players. Look at their RBs, and WRs? They have nothing at the skill positions other than CeeDee who gets a lot of attention while teams single cover the other receivers. Even Ferguson was taken out of the game last week by a Detroit LB.

The Cowboys need more weapons. Either they find them on their own roster, or they lose with what they are using today. But I do not think appointing an interim coach will resolve anything. And who would it be anyway? Zimmer? Look at his defense. I think he is a bigger problem right now than McCarthy.

Jerry is SOFT in his thinking at his old age. Rather than rip the band aid off and do what's needed, he procrastinates and pontificates because hes struggling with critical thinking. It's called senility. The man "waffles" more than Eggo.

another way to view it is, whats gained by waiting? Wont it just get worse by waiting? Isn't better to see WHO really wants to be here next year? I think I lean towards making changes NOW rather than later. It sets a tone of heads will roll if you don't give your all.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan was about as fired up as I've ever heard him during one of his weekly radio interviews. He was very defensive when asked about not making more moves in the offseason.

"This is not your job. Your job isn't to let me go over all the reasons that I did something and I'm sorry that I did it. That's not your job. I'll get somebody else to ask these questions. I'm not kidding. You're not going to figure it out what the team is doing right or wrong. If you are, or any five or 10 like you, you need to come to this (NFL) meeting I'm going to today with 32 teams here, you're geniuses."

"You really think you're gonna sit here with a microphone and tell me all of the things that I've done wrong without going over the rights? Listen, we both know we're talking to a lot of great fans, a lot of great listeners. And I'm very sorry for what happened out there Sunday. I'm sick about what happened Sunday."

"... One of the stupidest things I've ever done, that anybody had ever analyzed was buy the Cowboys. It was an idiot that did that. So idiot things can turn into good decisions. Smart things can turn into bad decisions. The facts are when you make one, you don't really know if it's going to be good or not at the time. You want some conversation this morning, you're getting it."

Lets go over the things you have done right since you bought the Cowboys Jerry.

1) Hired Jimmy and let him handle the football side of things while you handled the business side.

It ends there.

That is the ONLY thing he has done right since he bought this team from a football operations standpoint.
