Jerry involved in Petrino fiasco?

It sounded like Jerry tipped off Arthur Blank about the Razorbacks interest in Bobby P, after a couple of Phone calls with McKay, who told him the Falcons won't give premission to speak with him, Jerry said that would be the end of it, sounds like someone went behind Jerry's back, he can't be happy with how he looks in this.

Mike (San Diego): Mort, I just read that Jerry Jones helped broker the deal that got Petrino to Arkansas...I'm sure you know this, but isn't that odd in the ownership circles?
Chris Mortensen: (2:26 PM ET ) Actually, what the Falcons said is that Jones - a former Razorback player - called Arthur Blank to relay Arkansas' interest in speaking with Petrino. It went no further than that, is my understanding.

there is nothing illegal about contacting ateam about your old alma mater wanting to talk to their coach.
the nfl has rules against tampering but thats for a nfl job, not a college job
jerry is very involved in arkansas's football program, as does a few other owners with their old schools. nothing wrong with that. the only thing he can't do is tamer with college players, but even that is not against the law, just against ncaa rules
