Jerry: It's ridiculous to think fan tours impact the players

I don't know the full context of the tours to have a strong opinion either way...depending on the frequency and what all fans have access to I could see a problem. If guys are being watched during team meeting, receiving treatment, etc I can see that being an issue. What I will say though is that typically when a high volume of former employees are naming a similar complaint it should probably be evaluated and not just brushed off by the guy at the top.
Im beginning to think it shouldn’t be problematic, but the possibility of someone being able to record it and/or photograph it very well could be…..especially when the schemes seem predictable.

Either way it’s an unnecessary part of the circus, and only reaffirms that this football team isn’t about football. Sad.

Coming from the guy who it doesn't affect personally except for it providing more income in his pocket. The way he views/manages the team, things he's said both now and in the past, just makes you feel like he extends his ownership mindset of the Cowboys beyond the business level and to a more personal level of ownership regarding the players imo - makes you cringe.

Boosters and a flood of people from 9-5 (or whatever the hours) are two different things. I'd imagine the latter has vastly more people up close and personal than the boosters which would definitely be more distracting imo.
Could be....I really don't see it as an issue.

Maybe but if players themselves are telling you it is (past or present - hard for present ones to do so w/o retaliation I'd think), then why not listen? Also I feel like the perception of it is also a bad look for the team personally because I think it makes a player feel like the owner is trying to extract every single penny he possibly can from his investment vs. keeping the focus on the plan at hand to win games - which would actually net you a bigger cash flow. And lack of planning, lack of offseason spending, and idiotic responses in the media only backs up this thought process. A circus is a perfect analogy for this atmosphere.

How about simply NOT doing them during the couple hours a day, during the few months of the year, when the staff and players ARENT trying to conduct practice?

Is that so difficult or is that the selling point?

What’s next? You can call a play in a real game for ten grand?

I took that tour….via the drone on Hard Knocks. Nice place, thanks. I feel zero need to show up there in person.

The man, the legend continues defying all logic and reason. Where have we seen this type of narcissist behavior before. And it appears to be working. We are still talking about him.

That's why I made my joke thread on Overtime Zone about making the games more interactive hehe.

Some players say it's no big deal....I don't agree with it, just don't see it as a big deal. Spoiled or bitter players do.

He does know he can't take money with him when he dies, right?
The guy has a yacht and staff that would bring him anything he wants, and be in the most beautiful and luxurious places in the world. More money than he could possibly spend…

But he chooses to spend his last years in front of a camera and mic instead.

Why? So he can prove he is a “football guy?” Unbelievable.

The sad part is even if he steps in crap and wins, he will never be seen that way.

Rocky IV.

Dallas is the Drago camp...state of the art equipment, flashy, training in front of spectators, cameras flashing, putting on a show, tons of distractions.

Didn't end well for Drago.

Honestly, who even needs that much money to be happy? There's more to life than money. What's really important is faith, love, family, and friends. Also, having fun is important too. But really, at the end of the day, people like that who are so money hungry are people I actually kinda feel sorry for. Money can't love you back. I mean, for me, I'd certainly love to have a little more than what I earn, but I'm happy with what I've got at the moment.

Jerry has done more to hurt his imagine in 2 weeks than he had in the previous 35 years combined.

It’s just bad press after bad press. It’s bad answer after bad answer.

His imagine was bad anyways, but the past two weeks have doubled the badness of it.
It has been the biggest "Emperor Has No Clothes" month since the Campo years....

Ridiculous to think Booger can think. If 31 other teams aren't doing it there is a reason.
