Jerry Jones comments on Rob Ryan

I am still of the opinion that JJ just grew to dislike Rob as a personality. I would bet you lunch at your favorite fast food joint that JJ assigned blame to Rob for the media leak about Ratliff blowing up at him in the locker room. JJ will not tolerate being made to look foolish.

This is not implausible.

We lost the Bears game because Garrett's stupid receivers and Romo were never on the same page. I don't know how many turnovers we had that night but it was quite a few.

I truly believe this is Garrett's decision.... The one thing people don;t pay attention to is that Garrett knew what he is walking into when he accepted the job...

Jerry begs for attention? just like you JG knows that
Jerry wants all credit? Same as above
Jerry sticks his nose and want to? Same as above

What Garrett is doing is walking between those areas...Let Jerry be Jerry..Let him talk...Let him take credit (which actually he might deserve TBH)...

As long as he and Stephen are implementing the plan and following the process they set to rebuild this organization....

Jerry is sold into this and the three have an agreement on this.. While the media is drinking continuing the usual Jerry's this Jerry that propaganda...I believe he accepts this as long as Garrett gets to focus on rebuilding the team...Something I actually admire Jerry for doing....

Fans need to know that this organization is so disfunctional that 2 or maybe 3 years won't fix it....Just follow the process ...be patient..and Jerry and Garret will have the last laugh am sure

For all we know, Ryan was holding back Jerry's arms so Ratliff could suck punch him.

I get the usual Jerry hate but he's just using this as an excuse. The defense put us in wholes alot of game this year. Even when the offense played well, the defense sucked. Bruce carter played until thanksgiving and our defense wasnt playing great before that. Yes we had a lot of injuries but rob Ryan scheme didn't fit with us. Our guys couldn't understand where to go and sometimes didn't have enough players on the field.

:lmao: He sure does a good job of doing exactly that to himself.

Why bring up the two games where the opposing Defense dismantled the Cowboys.....apparently the Owner is not a "real footballl guy", lmao!

;)

I guess i missed the part where Jerry made it clear it was his decision and his alone......can someone help me with that?

sounds more like little Timmy formed his own conclusion....alot like some fans

Or it could have been all of the "I's" and "me's" he used and made no mention of any input of any type from the head coach?

When was this?

Our offense sputtered out the gate in almost every game this year.

Garrett's offense this year just had us sticking around in games. We weren't built to demolish anyone.

Jerry is off his rocker and pissed. The problem is that he built the team and it is his baby regardless of who is coaching. He simply cannot admit he is a failure as a GM.

I don't even think he's off his rocker. He has tried everything within reason. Now the only thing left is to try things that are unreasonable.

He's not going to fire his GM, so what else is there? When I saw him say things needed to change and it was time to get unorthodox, I was actually excited. Now, I'm actually a little worried.

I think we are going to start going backwards now. I can see us finishing 5-11 or 6-10 next year. Thanks jerry.

If we bring in a qualified OC, I can see us improving next year. I think we left a couple of wins on the table due to bad game planning/play calling alone this year.

Wow-if Ryan was fired for those two games, Romo and Garrett should be punished by public flogging!

I don't think Jerry is a very good GM, but he still has the power to do things like this especially if he doesn't like the way the coordinator is calling plays and feels his team can be better by moving on.

This happens everywhere in the NFL. Are all head coaches therefore puppets? I don't think so.

Also lol @ people complaining that think he made the decision off of 2 games just because those are the examples he cited in the interview.

I have no issue with the Ryan firing. However, if the defense needed a change, then the offense absolutely needs major change as well. It was the more underwhelming unit in my opinion.

As far as Jerry....anyone that doesn't think he is a handicap to this team's long term success is naive.

Also, a defense's best friend is an offense that gets an early lead and makes the other team play from behind and abandon the run. Especially when you're facing passing offenses that are predicated on play action like Seattle's. Because Garrett's offense is chronically slow starting, the Cowboys defense never gets the luxory of facing an imbalanced offense.

Great point.

Very true.

That is the story of the season and has honestly been under reported by the Cowboys' media. This defense spent money on rushers and corners and we spent the year with Ware fighting left tackles setting the edge because the offense came out and hung 14 in a first half exactly zero times.

On the possitive side, if that happens at least we are getting rid of Red J.
I am not a fan of him, although I would like nothing more than for him to prove all of us doubters wrong, I really just don´t see it, hope I´m wrong.

Agreed. What is even more funny to me is that anyone cares why Ryan or anyone was fired. Does it make your day better agreeing with the reason? Can you do anything about it if you disagree? It is what it is. You can complain all you want on the internets but it doesn't change one thing about what the Cowboys do. I like most of us dislike the perception of the Cowboys out there but there is no reason to let it reflect on me or how I feel.

he wasn't gonna fire the hc so somebody had to pay. simple as that. jerry has been poed since the giants loss at home. you could tell heads were gonna roll if we didn't make the playoffs. he was poed when we won vs cleveland. and that's a first that i can recall than he was upset after a win. there's prolly more to come.
