LOL.. yeah they literally told us the day he hurt the thumb that it would be "6-8 weeks." And I applaud the doctors for not being bullied into clearing him any sooner.. be it by Dak, Jerry, the fans, the mediots.. whoever.. They told us the bone would take 6-8 weeks to heal from day one.. Softheads got caught up in all the other narrative and agenda driven crap.. but the medial people have been steadfastly consistent.. Now people are acting like they said anything different at any point along the way. Why? Because it suits their narrative of course..

What I do not understand is why would it have been so difficult to say "The Dak injury is a big one for us but we have a lot of confidence in Cooper Rush and the rest of the team to rally for one another. Ths team will play hard and when Dak heals up he will come back and lead this time as he has since he came to the team."

Simple, to the point, non-divisive. Instead he encourages a QB controversy and then in essence says Dak better perform because the team is there.

I know he is a salesman but for the love of pete can he just stop the circus show?

It’s kinda like certain governmental figures described as stupid or misinformed or incompetent. It’s simply agendas that don’t reflect ours.
I’d tend to lean that they are either as misinformed or ignorant which probably drives their agendas . Not all are simply agendas that don’t reflect ours. They have bought into the misinformation.

But none would apply to Jethro’s agendas.

Key word....rational

Yea but there seem to be a growing number of irrational frustrated Cowboy fans .

And if any opposing fans looked into this forum they might think it’s more widespread as this segment has a very vocal voice here.

Sometimes there’s only a slim line between just criticism and misguided or driven agendas.

Jethro’s agenda is to win, but HIS way. Make money, advance the brand—not the agenda/priority of the fans, but the CEO/fat cat types. Mirrors the corporate/government agenda that’s contradicts the masses.

While perhaps true, Dak just watched the back-up QB go 4-1 and the owner hope for a QB controversy so the pressure is there indeed.
Jerry stated that he only hoped for a controversy because it meant they were winning.

As far as the controversy being real, it's difficult to attribute wins to Cooper and refer to him as a valuable contributor when the only claim, up to the Eagles game, was that he didn't make the mistakes that cost games. I think most of us agree that if it had been a different year and different defense, Cooper Rush would have been exposed earlier. Again, not saying he is a bad backup quarterback, just saying that he would make a bad starter in the long term.

Jethro is just hyping his product. No news here.

The pressure would be on regardless.

anyone at aching any credibility to our owners words are just looking for ammo to align with their narrative.
Jerry is just telling it like it is Jethro.

Jerry invested $160M into signing Dak and just watched Cooper Rush assist the team to a 4-1 record during Dak's injury....and Jerry also encouraged a QB controversy so this isn't about people's Dak narratives but rather the owner himself looking directly at Dak and asking him to show he was worth the contract.
The team is greatly improved with Dak at qb. They are set up to have an outstanding year.

I don't care about what argument you want to make or whether it's sound or not. If you played the game, you know playing some during the preseason is better than not in order to get yourself ready for the regular season. Football 101.
How many NFL games have you played? I didn’t know pee wee football had a preseason or did they when you played? Keep the laughs coming it’s appreciated.

I think Jerry wanted a QB controversy because for one that means Dallas is winning and two everybody will be taking about it ..... Like what happened these 5 weeks

Unfortunately whatever improvement they have made hasn’t culminated into any better results on the field yet.

What these frikin yahoos do best is hype and sell their product. Jethro really has no equal in sports today when it comes to his salesmanship promoting his iconic brand which his style disgust most Cowboy fans while everyone else just laughs at us.

that is true, jerry bought a great product, and it is easy to sell. He lucked into romo, hired a too old parcells, those 2 got him the new stadium,
which all 3 have helped him stay in spotlight and sell his product.
Dak had a great rookie season, and jerry took that and made dak a super star lol.
There was more talk about dak , than brady, mahomes, rodgers, or any of the other qb's.

But it is amazing people keep going to the games, the stadium is a draw, but it is no longer as novel as it was, but people still fill it up,
and many just sit there and play with their phones!
I guess people still buy the merchandise, and jerry does a good job getting sponsors to pay him big $ to be the official whatever of the cowboys.

The nfc is looking weak this year except for the 3 east teams, so this is a golden opportunity to get past div round, or further .
I kinda hope they hit a wall in div round again.

no he cant, it is who he is, unfortunately for us he owns the cowboys forever !
Jerry could have ran a circus and been great at it.
A nfl team though ? not very good at it, but he still fills the stadium every game, because a sucker is born every minute , said by another circus guy
a long time ago.

It is convenient , that jerry waits to start dak against the worst defense in NFL ! lol
Then he says dak has to be better, so this is ideal opportunity to make dak look good.

It would be funny if detroit upset dallas and made dak look bad.
Odds for that are slim, but on any given day !

If Dak does well especially if it is a blow out , then that is exactly what jerry wants, as then all the casual fans will be back on the dak train!
and a surge in cowboys merchandise will follow.

Me I will wait and see how dak and team does with the games after that which are not so easy.

Yes but all of those patrons in our stadium aren’t Cowboy fans anymore.

Prescott played poorly in week 1 as well. Most teams didn’t play their starters in preseason. Not really an excuse .

Tampa is also best defense we played until Egirls. I’m not sure we beat Tampa in any scenario.

Much worse teams have beaten Tampa. Even the steelers....no scenario? Be smarter.

A "fan" of the Cowboys hopes that they will hit a wall in the divisional round. Wow. That's all I needed to see.

There wasn't any peewee football during my time. Football was only available for teenagers and up. I'm sure you knew that since you were busy performing in band during game halftimes.

I’m probably older than you are and we had Peewee football in the early 60’s.
