It doesn’t really go both ways with Jethro. Not equally anyway.

At this point most everything he does is basically a deterrent for Cowboys Football and takes away anything he’s done well this era.
Like a marriage gone bad .
That’s your opinion. But there ARE other opinions. That’s why I said both.

If you believe it’s even worthy of arguing on Jethro’s behalf then that’s your prerogative but be prepared for pushback. It’s not likely to be a popular stance. But I suppose like anyone he deserves some representation.

Moderator Edit/Article link: https://www.dallascowboys.com/news/jones-dak-will-be-surrounded-by-a-better-team

"We're a better team than we were five weeks ago," Jones told 105.3 "The Fan" on Tuesday morning. "We have improved the right way. We've done it with repetition, we've done it with young players. We've done it with players that have worked in tot he kind of things the coaches want them to do. We've had a lot of depth that has gotten a lot of reps. We're a better team than we were in that lost against Tampa, period."

Jerry just applied the pressure for Dak to elevate this team whether he intended to do that or not. With the defense playing as well as it has been and the offensive line playing better than expected, all eyes will be on Dak going forward.

these young tight ends are the way to go

Not arguing on his behalf. Just saying everyone evolves over time, with experience. Maybe not the way you prefer, but they do.

I’m not sure everyone does but I would agree that most do to some extent.

I’d also agree that they don’t always evolve as we’d prefer or to the extent we’d hope which I’d argue is mostly useless. That’s primarily as I see Jethro. Lol

We already know about your feelings on Jerry. He HAS evolved into a football guy, just not the type you like.

Yes they "cherry picked" his medical clearance for this game.

LOL.. yeah they literally told us the day he hurt the thumb that it would be "6-8 weeks." And I applaud the doctors for not being bullied into clearing him any sooner.. be it by Dak, Jerry, the fans, the mediots.. whoever.. They told us the bone would take 6-8 weeks to heal from day one.. Softheads got caught up in all the other narrative and agenda driven crap.. but the medial people have been steadfastly consistent.. Now people are acting like they said anything different at any point along the way. Why? Because it suits their narrative of course..

Crap.....I was all excited when I read the heading. I was hoping Jerry had traded Dak to another team. I should have known it was nothing more then vomit coming from his mouth.......LOL

They could have easily let Cooper Rush have this game and give him one more week to heal and practice. The man hasn't thrown a football in 6 weeks.

You know this isn't true right? Dak threw to the receivers before and after practice every day last week and before the game on Sunday.. He also did light tossing of the ball the week before.. which was the time they saw the swelling and backed him off.

I also think we found out that coaching and the decisions they make matter.

- Not taking the time to review a spot at a crucial point
- doubling down on that and rushing into a play that doesn't match with personnels strengths.
- deciding not to continue to protect the qb with run, even when it's working, and deciding to let him air out.
- late adjustments

All of these contributed to the loss. Teams are fairly even talent wise due to parity. It's execution and consistency on the players part that separates the good from bad. Much of that falls on coachings shoulders.
exactly, mike and kellen are almost always bad or mediocre, and dan got out coached in the phil game.
game plans, play designs are usually awful, so is play calling, and players have to overcome all that to win.

Reports are that he could not practice the week of the Eagle game which is why he didn't play. So, this week he is practicing and able to grip a football......... but we don't NEED him against the Lions. Why risk him in a game that Cooper Rush should be able to win? Let him have 2 solid weeks of practice to get his timing back and his thumb stronger.
this is what a smart HC, GM might do, but not dallas.
Make sure dak is ready.
But I think dak himself is dying to play, ready or not.

They could even start rush, see how it goes, and then switch to dak if needed.

But jerry has decided, and he is actually the HC, Dr, Gm etc, so he has cleared dak, and wants him to play.
Why? lol who knows. Jerry is a little insane, so hard to make sense of what he does and says. He just likes to uh uh talk ! lol.

true and billionaires are the people least likely to evolve or change.
They have no reason to change, or no pressure on them to change or evolve.

after 26 years jerry and his boy have gotten better, but that isnt saying much considering how bad they were to begin with.

In the nfl things change and evolve fast, and the jones boys are too slow to keep up.
They have built a decent team, and dan was a good hire, bones too, but kellen and mike are the lemons, and jones boys just dont see it.
They have those 2 who they get along with, so they will just continue to roll with them.

Unfortunately whatever improvement they have made hasn’t culminated into any better results on the field yet.

What these frikin yahoos do best is hype and sell their product. Jethro really has no equal in sports today when it comes to his salesmanship promoting his iconic brand which his style disgust most Cowboy fans while everyone else just laughs at us.

Yea, and I haven’t talked to many who do. Not Cowboy fans anyway. Lol

It’s kinda like certain governmental figures described as stupid or misinformed or incompetent. It’s simply agendas that don’t reflect ours.
