Comparing with 1989, wow, you had Troy Aikman as a rookie and Jimmy in his first year…

Now you have a an old and inaccurate QB and a low IQ head coach.

Man it sucks when old people yap about the old days and how they’ve seen it all. That doesn’t make anyone feel better!
I remember the old days when the Cowboys were considered a football dynasty and now they are almost the laughing stock of the league. I've seen it all;)

Him comparing this season to 1989 is laughable.
It is laughable because he robbed himself of the chance of finding the new Troy Aikman anytime soon. Sure, they could still draft QBs high (and I would), but we're stuck with the top 5 QB Dak Prescott for so many more years.

As long as this guy's under center, this team is going nowhere. No matter the talent around him.

In the past, I thought you were just a stupid idiot.
That was correct.
However, now you're a boldface liar and a thief. You tanked the season on purpose. You're only yabbering this nonsense to keep fans buying tickets to your dog duty show.
I have to disagree.
You don’t sign a slightly above average QB who is rapidly declining to an insane $60 Mil per year contract if you’re tanking and wanting to rebuild.
Jerry is actually THIS stupid.
Every year in Jerry’s mind, he’s going to win the SB and prove to all of his naysayers that it was him and not Jimmy Johnson that was the mastermind of those 90’s teams.
Jerry is so bad at the job of GM that he will certainly die without reaching another NFC championship game, let alone a SB, and we get to ride along with his delusion without the enjoyment of the mega-yacht and the high priced escorts.

Didn't Jimmy Johnson go on record at some point and say that they intentionally tanked that season?
I’m not sure if that’s true or not, but that team was in every single game but one that year.
This team is getting throttled every game.

Of course he didn't ....... his yes men crew, consisting of his sons and Will McClay, told him this was a Superbowl season.

Jerry Jones, Dallas Cowboys 'didn't anticipate' 3-7 record

ARLINGTON, Texas -- As much as his time as owner and general manager of the Dallas Cowboys has been about winning three Super Bowls in the 1990s, Jerry Jones has had down times, too.

"We won one game my first year," Jones said after the Cowboys' 34-10 loss to the Houston Texans on Monday night that dropped Dallas to 3-7 on the season. "One. And so have we had rough seasons? Yes. Yeah, I've been around. Certainly we have. And we've had other tough years. And this one, we didn't anticipate the record. And the way we're playing right now, we wouldn't have anticipated that. But, not, this isn't -- y'all have heard me tell these old stories until you're sick -- but not, you stay in this league long enough, you'll have times like this."

Probably true... which paints a true picture of his mindset and cluelessness about the state of his team. I'd say, his main focus was the announcement of the team being worth 10bill at that point in time this year and patting himself on the back for continuing to fool the public ("all in") to keep being buyers vs sellers. Probably also focused on the Jake Paul fight, FIFA World Cup and other big ventures coming up. Team success is secondary.

I'd be fine sponsoring Jerry's membership. The idea of him reading this stuff is priceless lol
He already has people that monitor online Cowboys discussions and report to him. It's how he makes his contrarian "GM" decisions. He finds out what the fans want, and then does the opposite so he can say "screw you" to the fans. He does this because he knows that we rightly think he's a moron. No bigger examples of this than signing Zeke and Zimmer.

This was as easy to see coming as the sunrise.
We did next to nothing this off season and had a ton of talent leave.

They never anticipate anything. They don't have the vision or the foresight to build a winning team. The evaluation process is a clown show.

Losing is good for this team. The draft value is much higher than any win going forward this season.

I expected it. After the off-season, just canning our roster how could we expect anything but this type of season? Look at our running backs. We gambled on two rookies on the OL. We gambled on Steele improving, and Zack Martin not getting old. I would have bet on Martin - and lost but still. Then look at our WRs. Cooks has not been the same guy since he arrived in Dallas, and that leaves only CeeDee. Not enough weapons behind a pretty horrible OL.

We also never saw Dak as a $60 million QB. Perhaps Jerry's overestimation of Dak is the reason he didn't anticipate being 3-7. His head may explode when we wind up 4-13.

Did he anticipate losing all those players on defense was going to make the defense better in 2024? Was Kendricks supposed to be superman?
