On Good Morning Football on NFLN this morning, he stated that the partnership he/the Cowboys has developed with the Salvation Army over the last 20 plus years has raised over $2.1 billion. That is definitely something to be commended for and proud of.

Some posters may make fun of Jerry, but I gotta say. Jerry is a good man. Read the following article.
It's a nice holiday read. A lot of the players ( both current and ex) have echoed the sentiment. Great man.

Ps. I fully expect some wisecracks so go ahead and post if you must
I like Jerry, met him back in the day. Great sense of humor, treats people right and a lot better football mind than people give him credit for. He'd be considered a genius if he owned the Browns or any other team.

I never said Jerry wasn't a good guy. Obviously the players love him. Just never cared for him as GM.

Said it before and I'll say it again: subconsciously, the REAL cause of so all the Jerry Jones "hate" is pure jealousy.

A self-made BILLIONAIRE.

An NCAA CHAMPION and Captain as a football player.

Bought the Dallas freaking Cowboys when they were in the gutter... and turned them into the most valuable sports franchise IN THE WORLD.

Built the world's most impressive and expensive stadium.

A 3-time Super Bowl Champion.

Oh, and finally, a future PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAMER.

"Hate" him all you want. What an INCREDIBLE life the man has lived. The epitome of a winner.

Its hillarious to me that an owner/gm can bring in the people to get us 3 superbowls and then have us on the verge of another run and people can still sit there and smugly say hes not a football guy and he doesnt know what hes doing. So what if he has empowered smarter people around him? That is what great leaders do. Ive never been a Jerry basher and I never will be. I know the criticisms but I also know hes done alot of good and I am appreciative of that. Those crying for another superbowl need to get a grip. They arent like participation trophys and not everyone gets them. Some fans go thier entire miserable lives without. We are fortunate to have an owner that has the thirst of a fan and a wallet hes willing to use. Storys like this, sitting in the hospital with Irvin, having the balls to cut Owens face to face and so on speak volumes to me.

Can't say i'd trade Jerry for any other owner in the NFL. He loves the team and loves the players and wants to win at all costs. This is a great story about his generosity. I've actually been invited by Jerry to come down to the game VS the Vikings Dec 1. All i have to do is get my butt down there(it's an 8 hour drive from my house in Winnipeg Canada) and the rest is taken care of. I've never met the man but i'm sure i will he's also set me up with sideline passes so i'm sure i'll meet him there. Thanks Jerry for your generosity.

Why ... I've seen better men at Birkenhead dockside on payday playing cards, mate.
Just playing with your emotions, good lad!
Jerry, re his players, has a soft heart. No sane man or sailor would dispute that.
It has gotten the Boys in trouble by him keeping some past their expiration dates.
But, all in all, a good and loyal boss.
And his public gifts attest to his goodness.
Jerry, you sure have assembled a monster team...

Sorry. Just basing it on his NFL role as owner...Not a good man.

--Built a cool stadium--using hundreds of millions of other people's money
--Jones co-founded Draft Kings, which has been accused of racketeering and other predatorial practices
--Just this week Jone akes totally deceptive credit for donations to Salvation army. He takes credit for 2.1 billion dollars donated to salvation army over 20 years. If you listen closely...what was the role the Jones family? The Cowboys role was "reminding people" to donate. He's taking credit for *other people's* donations. Pretty crazy sleazy IMO.
--Super Bowl ticket scandal where fans couldn't see or were in standing-room only. This compounded by witness tampering in the trial that followed.

False credit for Salvation Army

I wouldn't doubt the Cowboys players and staff spend more time in the hospital visiting patients and helping those more unfortunate than on the playing field. They are always winners when they do this no matter how many games they lose.
