I'm not uncomfortable at all. It's not my money and I have no business telling a billionaire how he should spend his. But then again, some people won't be happy unless he gives everything he has to charities. If he wasn't so damn selfish, he could buy 20,000 people homes. Not like he needs it right?

I see it's easier for you to justify your goofy rant by trying to put words into my mouth.
Why are you calling him selfish?
I didn't realize anyone was telling Jerry how to spend his money. I didn't realize Jerry Jones reads and takes advise from Cowboyszone.

Just as you have no business telling Jerry how to spend his money, you also have no business telling me not to put the cost of a helicopter into real life perspective.

Hey, Jerry I've been a Cowboys fan for 35 years now. I've been disappointed in the past twenty years and think my emotional suffering is worth only $2 million. That is pocket change for you and only a quarter of the cost of that helicopter. What do you say?

I'm pretty sure that Air Force 1 is the President's plane and his helicopter is Air Force 2. I think I read it somewhere. If that's the case it would be Jerr Force 2.
marine 1 and marine 2 are the helicopters. air force 1 is designated not to a particular plane but to whichever one the potus is on.

agreed. he SHOULD enjoy his money. he honestly doesn't have decades and decades left. the giving will never end and never be enough. Probably a similar comparison would be should I buy a big screen tv or should i send that money to haiti where it could send and feed 20 kids to school for a whole year. Giving is great but how much you give, how you give it, who you give it to and how you spend the rest of your money shouldn't be anyone else's business imo...

You only live once. If a self made billionaire wants a helicopter why hate? Hell he should buy a whole fleet and have helicopter races.

I'm not hating. I'm for Jerry flying it. By himself. Drunk.

Well 20 plus years ago he thought he could take over the reigns and be a GM of a football team. How soon before he thinks he can fly his own helicopter? Hopefully for his sake, he can fly a helicopter better than he could GM. LOL.

It's up to you to make whatever decisions you want with your money.
Just as no one should tell you how to spend it, you also shouldn't tell people how excessive displays of wealth makes them feel.

Jerry has a foundation that does a lot of good things for many people. He should get credit for this.

But when you see so many people struggling to make ends meet, 50 million people living in poverty, ect..you should expect some people to think about all the good that the money could have done for so many.

Should we be condeming the people who feel uneasy with the excess displays of wealth or should we be questioning ourselves if we don't feel uncomfortable with this when so many are suffering around us.
Just a thought.

Off subject but, did Jerry or the taxpayers pay for ATT stadium?

I know most owners insist the taxpayers pay for it.

Why don't you tell me...
Do you know?... No I didn't think so.

It doesn't make what I said any less true.
Regardless of how much someone donates to charity the $8 million could have bought 80 homes for disabled vets.

I didn't say Jerry was a bad guy or greedy or someone who doesn't give to charity.
Just stating a fact that obviously makes some uncomfortable...you included.

Great point.

He should probably not live in a big house either. He should sell that and live in a trailer near Frisco. Use that money to build more houses for vets and those less fortunate. And forget the Mercedes' and other cars he has. He should sell them and grab a bunch of Fiats.

You know, he should probably sell the Cowboys and with those billions he could build a thousands of homes for vets.

Probably leasing it, it's expensive enough with maintenance alone, not to mention a pilot
