Jones runs the team on whims. Maybe he's fixated on New England right now, but he'll zone in something else in a year. Let's not forget the freakout that led to the Kiffin fiasco. The Cowboys got blown up by a Bears team that wasn't even any good and Jones decided the Cowboys needed they need to change defensive schemes because of them and Seattle. I still can't believe that happened.

Part of that is because the Garrett's convinced him the problems were on defense. It was allegedly the lack of TOs that were not caused by the defense that didn't give the offense more chances..

The problem is, Jerry apparently didn't bother to check how many TOs the Garrett led offenses were committing.. Look at this year, where they scape-hosted the defense... The offense is sitting here at plus 30 TOs a game, while playing conservative and relying on the run..

Marnelli may be lucky that no defense was largely responsible for embarrassing the team aside from Carolina's. Don't really know if there's an easy way to duplicate them. If there were I'm sure Jerry would be trying to replace Marnelli with Carolina's waterboy.

Who do you think was a major player in getting the salary cap in the league.

All I know is that Jerry wasn't scared to open his wallet in 2010 the Uncapped year, and we ending up paying the $10 million Salary cap penalty over two years.

The last five of those years have been grand.

He can spend all the money he wants,it's not going to work until he spends it right.Everybody wants to win,but Jerry isn't willing to do anything to win, like some people think. At least not the right thing.

Just look at the HC he has hired (excluding Parcells), in the FA era the HC is almost as valuable as the QB, until we get a good HC (while Romo is still a top tier QB) in here we should expect more of the same mediocrity.

Steinbrenner was the same way but his 90's dynasty wouldn't have happened if he hadn't taken a step back...something jerry really needs to consider.

Is Howie Spira still around?

That carolina defense is stacked with talent but allowed NY put up 20+ points on them in the 4th quarter. Marinelli is the last coach that should be fired in this organization.

oh boy.....Marinelli should be the first out. You just don't blow 8 games in the 4th because the D is good.
