Hard to believe the team finished 25th in the league in sacks given the massive investment in pass rushers the past two years in Lawrence, Hardy, Gregory. You can add signing Crawford to a big money contract to that list as well.

Sorry to everyone hoping we take Wentz/Goff at 4, won't happen unless scouts are putting their careers on the line that he is the man. We are taking a defensive blue chipper or trading down and I for one agree with that route simply because I don't believe in either QB. Much better value to be had in later rounds of the draft than at #4 for a QB.

That was a foregone conclusion when Jerry watched Denver win a SB with no QB and an offense that actually put 6 points on the board. Just because it is a foregone conclusion doesnt mean its the right one.

They did face the fewest dropbacks in the league (which inflated their yardage and TD numbers the same way it hurt their sack numbers) but overall they were pretty mediocre in terms of pass rush efficiency.

The problem area was Hayden and Mincey combined for about 1,000 snaps and 0 sacks.

On top of that Gregory's high-ankle sprain and Crawford's torn rotator cuff helped minimize the pass rush.

As long as Marinelli is the coach you are not improving this D,mark it down.He is just too old and plays inferior talent in key positions.We RESIGNED Hayden because of him and anybody else in the league would have been a upgrade but no he wants his Golden cock.

You should have started with a new coaching staff. That would been the right start to getting Tony a better supporting cast.
