I don't think it is the kiss of death.. I think Jerry is just as hoodwinked as he was from the start. Dak put a spell on him for sure.. probably the jersey sales.
Remember how pissed off he was after the playoffs last year? When he publicly stated "I thought we'd have the edge at QB position" or the like?? And now.. he sat there and watched as Purdy has gone FURTHER in front of Dak.. his highest paid player EVER.
He didn't have to back Dak.. he could have stuck with "I'll do whatever it takes to win, we are always building a roster, we want the best roster, we know that performance won't be enough but we feel we have the right pieces to do better in these big games" or any variation thereof. Instead he backs Dak specifically.
We are in for more and more years of pain. I am shattered at the thought. I've never wished for injury but it might be the only way that Jerry unhitches the Dak wagon.
