To be fair, what else is he going to say? He knows this season is toast but cannot make any money off the fans if he says it out loud.

Here's the thing. Jerry has always been more financially motivated than anything. The only thing that comes close is his precious ego. Admitting Dak's not the guy is a blow to his ego.

However, if he even thinks keeping Dak as the starter affects his revenue, it's execution time. He didn't want to let go of Garrett even though the entire world knew the man needed to go...but once Jerry thought enough fans were pissed that it would affect his revenue, he reluctantly pulled the trigger even though he previously expressed every confidence in Garrett.

Never trust what Jerry says. Trust what he does. Does this mean he's dumping Dak? No. Just don't believe him when he gives that vote of confidence.
