Jerry Jones mentioned multiple times on 1053thefan this morning that they are working out a wide receiver today

I can't say I agree. We have one outstanding WR, and are getting very little from anyone else.

Regardless, Bryant wouldn't be expected to be an impact guy this year anyway.
I wouldn’t say you’re wrong but I’m gonna jump and say that might be more due to this offenses structure largely being ineffective.

Can’t run and don’t block well, seems like our best plays are broken ones.

And of course Gallup has been a let down

Beyond a brain dead organization. Gallup may be useless at this point however WR should be one of the least priorities right now. Numerous break downs after every game show Cooks running wide open often numerus times and he's not even looked at. He's had a solid career so far and put up numbers even with scrub QBs throwing to him. What's the problem? Play design? Dak? something needs to change

We need to look at all the OL help we can get or look at changing out Solari. We figure out the OL the running game will also improve.

This OL is not going to take you deep into the playoffs as it sits
Totally agree. The O-line gets constantly banged up and rarely plays a game together. And when they do, they are left somewhat wanting. Over-rated unit.

He hasn't played since 2018. There is no reason to think he would matter this year. If he were to step in as the #4 or #5 WR that would be surprising
Neither has #77 for the cowboys

Ah next year, when he's 32. Lol, these guys.
He will 32 in a few weeks. That’s Jerry though.

Always using his golfball with a little hair on it mantra. No stone left overturned (if you’re cheap) and needs a guy to nurture (Brent, Irving, Gregory, Aldon)

You can have most elite WR ever to play the game and it won’t win games if Dak is on his back 10-15 yards back to a sack.

Neither has #77 for the cowboys. 77 has missed a lot of games, but he obviously has played since 2018, and in fact has never missed the entirety of even 1 season
77 has missed a lot of games, but he obviously has played since 2018, and in fact has never missed the entirety of a single season, so it's not even remotely comparable to Bryant.

Bryant, on the other hand, has missed every off season program, training camp, practice, film screening, team meeting and game (preseason, regular season or postseason) for 4 1/2 seasons.

I’m telling you folks the team has a WR problem. Outside of Lamb we have nothing. Gallup is terrible and can’t get open and or even catch. Just a hunch but Dak doesn’t like throwing to small dudes hence why Cooks and Turp are having a hard time seeing balls there way.

You nailed it Red.

Cooks should be having solid numbers every game, it makes no sense. He didn't fall off a cliff overnight. I don't know where the blame lies, but he should be getting a ton more looks.

If you fix the O-line and the running game, receivers will get open more consistently. Basic football. We can't have superstars at every position. Replace Steel and get a bruiser RB. Even if we did need a WR, some guys here have been saying that for a couple of months. The time to look was BEFORE the trade deadline, not after.
