Jerry Jones has a message for Cowboys fans: "I know that I have had a lot of mistakes in these years. But the same guys making this decision that has the Cowboys and really got there by the skin of my teeth. And it was a miracle that I was able to pull it off. A miracle. But the same imagination, the same risk-taking, the same taking risks but being pragmatic, being inconsistent, sometime looking like you're a Mississippi riverboat gambler and sometime looking like you're trying to guard the national mall. Those inconstancies are how we got here. Now that is what your'e seeing going on right now. And I don't know for sure if it's going to work. But I am giving it everything I've got." He’s all in

Jerry if fully committed and with a dedicated team that is fully sophisticated and supported. They are committed and current. Players have to be committed or they just don't stick around, It is relevant as the team further progresses and changes in parts of the defensive view and scheme directions.

Parsons is a huge part in change and can further develop and solve with interactions with the offense.
I'm more concerned about those other than Parsons, as far as their commitment is concerned. He's awaiting some huge checks, while the others won't be nearly as lucrative, but that's life in the NFL. Let's hope Jerry's commitment includes a huge commitment to a playoff-winning team.
In the meantime, my loyalty to the Cowboys remains as one that can't diminish enough to see me jumping ship. It's an addiction. ;)

I dont blame your effort, I dont even blame your motive (though agree money/relevance plays a factor).....but I do blame your egotism and inability to see that the CAP you (ironically) help produce has shown that your only ability, as an Owner/GM, was to spend more money than your opponents.

It's not 'pragmatic' ,Jerry, it's a strategy built on hope. You're always looking at next year, in fear that you may not be relevant.

Doesn't have anything to give so that is why the results are nothing.

Jerry is right. He did give it his all. But that was when they were rebuilding the franchise. Now that he's a multi-billionaire and the team is with almost 9 billion, there's no urgency. Bills are being paid with money left over.

Not even that. His only ability was to hire Jimmy Johnson to assemble talent. Cowboys did not spend their way to 3 super bowls, Jimmy acquired the talent to win 3 super bowls. They weren't signing big name FA's, and in fact when they did sign Deion to a huge contract, his signing was a huge reason the super bowl team assembled fell apart. Paying just a few players huge money is not only not the way to super bowls, it keeps you from getting there.

It's football built upon strong standards. Sacrifice in team is my standard and I'm sticking with sacrifice in sport and not just being champion to buy my continued loyalty.

Let's be clear here -- I was professing my loyalty to the team and not putting it up for sale. If the FO doesn't want to spend what it takes to make this team a winner, I'm not obliged to be loyal to a leadership that puts money and brand over building a winner. If the ownership isn't willing to make sacrifices, the players will follow suit. This team has too many players that aren't willing to make the sacrifices that it takes. it all starts at the top and filters down throughout the team. If that doesn't change, the players aren't likely to change, either. I've stuck with this team throughout their many years of both good and lesser performances since their beginning. Let's not minimize that, if you please. I'm not subject to your judgment.

Get into the ball park before you accuse. I had no need to substitute respect for strong showings for my need instead to just win it all.

That was my intent to describe my motivations...MINE. I don't live in Venezuela.

If that makes you feel butt hurt...that is all on you. Apologize to yourself.

I was pointing the instead level gained and not on a blame directed at someone. There is a difference and of value to see as well.

No need to apologize to you, myself or anyone else.

You're entitled to your motivations and me to mine. That's just being fair.

I avoid judging people and happen to believe you should likely do the same. If not, it's your choice.

(laughing at you now) Back at your assuming and blaming.

I stated my statement...for the third time.

This time I returned your adding a personal blame.:hammer:

Sorry but I don't buy it.

He is talking about how leading the league in season tickets sales is "winning" while spending the least amount of actual dollars on salaries the last few seasons.
