It's just logical to handle it this way. Keeping the team's eyes on the target is essential for focus to be maintained.
I gotta hand it to him, Jerry is really starting to seem a bit more restrained and slightly competent.
He's bumped himself up from a 2 to a 3.
Jerry Jones "No contract talks with Jason Garrett until after season"
Thank you Jerry for a rare bit of sanity. Make Red earn it!!!!
lol out of ten? I don't think that's fair. Outside the claiborne trade I can't point to a whole ton of moves that have been completely disastrous.
I agree with Big Dog, I think Jerry has already decided to renew Garrett but is certainly not going to make it public at this time. It would take a total collapse for him to change his mind. But with this team progressing as the season goes along and some players coming back later in the season, I don't think that will happen, unless Romo gets hurt and then all bets are off.
And guess what? He can't live without JG because the alternative would be either to give up more control or get another Garrett. He is NOT going to give up control.
RW trade? Marion Barber contract? Twenty years of mediocrity?
