are you serious..... are you sure you are talking about Jerry Jones the Owner and GM of the Cowboys..... I agree a little.. he does show he can be capable at certain times...but then loses it all with a bone head comment or decision...

Dead serious.

I don't get this. Jerry said it's company policy to wait. And I hope you think that Red has earned it already because he is coming back.

Earned it???? He has cost us the playoffs the last three years running. Things are looking good so far this year but the season is still young. As far as "company policy", Jerry is the company and you know as well as I do he is prone to knee jerk decisions. Look, I hope this is the year Garrett finally gets us to the playoffs by not blowing games with idiotic clock / game management but if he blows it this year I wonder what Jerry will do? I have absolutely zero problem with Garrett succeeding and becoming our long term head coach, however I will not be "sold" on him until he proves he is capable and so far he has not but early returns this year suggest he just might finally do it and I hope he does.

I think a lot of people in the know think Jason Garrett is responsible for a lot more that has gone right recently with the organization than he is with some of the things that have gone wrong.

And I'd be surprised if the idea that 'he cost us the playoffs the last three years running' is widely held by anybody with any weight in the decision making process. It's more likely they think he's rebuilt (rebuilding) the roster while still keeping the team competitive during that time.

But, I guess we'll see whenever the next HC contract is handed out in Dallas. Who it goes to and for how long will tell us everything we need to know on the topic.
