Jerry Jones not ready to address Dez's future

Not sure if I see Garrett pushed out, but I do see changes in the assistant category. For example, Linehan or Marinelli could be gone, or both. New offensive/defensive philosophy. I think Wilson could be gone as well.
Dez does still have talent but he and Dak both need much better coaching, and I mean significantly better coaching. 2018 could be Dak's final year as a starter and maybe not even that depending on the off season.

When Jerry hired Linehan it was specifically to utilize the playmaker Dez like he did with CJ in Detroit, along with running the ball.

And the bet next year with Romo, Dez had his best year.

Problem for Jerry is Romo isn’t here, because he agreed as a GM to one of the worst decisions in franchise history..
Agreed, I have said before that Jerry wanted Romo to get his job back, Red Ball and others backed Dak and continuity...Bigly mistake!

Whats to discuss. I was OK with Dez being on the team at 5-7 mil a year in cap money, the 14-17 mil he was making was of course, out of the question in my mind. After this season and in particular yesterday, he should find himself out on the curb with yesterdays paper.

Dez will go somewhere else and be a monster. He needs a qb that can anticipate throws and be accurate.

What we need is speed wrs that get wiiiide open for Dak. Thats our future.
He was a top 10 qb last year with guys that weren't always open. Obviously there's something to work with there. A better coach can make him a better qb

If there is one thing Jerry loves more than anything, its his money.

He aint paying Dez $12.5 next year when he cant even get 100 yards anymore................its either paycut or release, no other option at this point.

I predict a release, Dez is too much of a hot head to admit he sucks and take a paycut.

Wouldn't want him back after accepting pay cut.

All he would do is whine and complain.

Let him go somewhere else.

This just in,,, the position that sometimes is described as a "coach killer" also kills WRs and the rest of the offense.

He'll kick Bryant to the curb but his boy Garrett gets a pass............. over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

I am pretty much close to taking a vacation from the Cowboys until I see real change. And no, cutting Bryant, for example, isn't real change.

If they want to move on from Bryant, then do it but do so with a real plan in place with a real coaching staff.

Cutting him while leaving Garrett in place is nothing more than typical BS from Jones where he looks for scapegoats to protest his third son.

It's nauseating.

Dez got 6 of 34 Dak targets. 3rd most on the team.

Define "forced the ball" please.

They were running the ball, like they should have, he had a hissy fit, so they threw the ball to him on first down which he went on to fumble and lose momentum. Not to mention the interception off his hands.

All season we've had to force the ball to him rather than Dak throwing to whoever was open

Dez' talent level is that of a #2 or #3 receiver.......if that.

Last season when Dez was out, the offense clicked...Dak played better....Dez plays and Dak doesn't play as well.....too much pressure to try and get him the ball...then he drops more than he catches..both Dez and Witten needs to gone......for different reasons..

This is a joke post not remotely etched in reality.

Willingly ignoring statistics to try and make a point.

I could see scenarios where Dez isn’t on the team next season. His frustrations and inconsistencies have made him a detriment. He and Dak can’t seem to establish any chemistry. Dez is no longer a legit #1 receiver. High on our priority list in the offseason is to add a speed receiver who can move the safeties back and stretch the field. One of our top two picks needs to be at WR.

I agree. I didn't think his actions were warranted yesterday. On the other hand, season is not over. This isn't the time to ask about Dez' future.

What would you say if you were Jerry, "Dez is out."

Oh yeah, that is going to help things next week when we play Philadelphia, isn't it?
