"Jerry Jones on Jason Garrett: "When I look at Jason, I see a lot of things for a long time." Most important thing he has seen: Progress."

So "process" is replaced with "progress".....

Yeah the process was getting old. lol

I like that Jerry doesn't want an apology from the league for the blown call. Tells me they are plenty ticked about it.

As much of a pleasant surprise that Mincey was this year, if he becomes your 3rd pass rusher, that truly says a lot about how good you think the 2 guys starting in front of him are. Mincey is still a good STARTER in this league - I just don't EVER think he's been a RDE. With his size and power game, he has ALWAYS seemed to be more of a natural LDE - especially in this scheme. It took him almost the entire season to get down to his most comfortable playing weight of 270 (I think he said he was around 268 in late November-early December). Bennett is listed at 274 for Seattle - that was his listed weight in Tampa as well and he looks a LOT slimmer to me than he did in Tampa.

I would love to see a trio of:

RDE - Lawrence (6'3", 260)
LDE - B. Graham (6'2", 265), Mincey (6'4", 270)

If you're able to a young, up-an-coming player like Graham in FA (and take him away from a division rival in the process), that opens up so many possibilities in the draft. You can than get a guy in Round's 2-4 that come in and just be a pass rusher - players like Markus Golden or Eli Harold.

I don't see it mentioned here, but there was another article about yesterday's press conference that indicated they would not restructure Romo's contract. The cap hit on Romo is expected to be around $25M for next year. But taking the hit next year should help the cap situation in the long-term. In the worst case, it would reduce the amount of dead money if Romo had to retire early due to injury.

Afford? Mortgage the farm. Let's get another Super Bowl.

This. I can handle another 20 year playoff drought if I have a new championship shirt and hat to wear through it.

Plus an autographed poster of tony blinging a ring and holding the trophy on my wall would be schweeet

Avoiding big names like JPP and Suh also fits in more with the "We-fense" attitude instilled by Marinelli.

No idea if a big name player would actually impact something like that, I'm just bringing up the idea.

REALLY!?! Name some of the guys he coached in Tampa, and Chicago? Rice, Sapp, Peppers, ring a bell?

Yes, they were good players in Chicago and Tampa. I'm talking about the 2014-2015 Cowboys. There are no stars on this defense and the entire group had a "all for one, one for all" mentality.

I'm simply bringing up the idea that a star player could who gets lots of coverage and accolades could potentially inhibit that.

I do not know, what your were watching, but the D was not good. The Tampa 2, is about the front 4, getting sacks, and the D getting turn overs. It is a bend but not break. Look at the greatest show on turf. The offense is to score 40, while the D, can give up 39. This, is not like a 3-4, who tries to confuse offenses, everyone knows what their goal is.
