Jerry Jones on how prepared his family is to run the franchise after him

It has been successful.

This family doesnt ahve to do anything and they will be wealthy.

oooo you thought football. No, thats YOU problem. Better get over it quick.

We all wondered. Now we know.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on how prepared his family is to run the franchise after him: "As far as operational, I'm as content if I got hit by a car tomorrow that the management of the future has been prepared, been through it, had their ups and downs, certainly had some success and certainly had their share of failure. I'm prepared for all of that. I'm fortunate that my family has that right there."

Where is the some success he speaks of?
29 straight non NFCCG appearances
Is not a success by any standard.

Makes me want to walk away as a fan TBH
And this is why I think people with your mindset should do exactly that. I get it: People think the Jones family should hire ‘more qualified’ people to run the team. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but it’s never going to happen. I’m so tired of hearing about how JJ’s decisions have doomed the team. Maybe it’s true, but again, it isn’t going to change. If I hated the way my team ran their organization and I knew for certain that it was never going to change - and it isn’t with the Cowboys - I wouldn’t be a fan anymore. There are other teams I enjoy watching, and I wouldn’t have a problem putting a team in my rear view mirror if I felt as strongly as many here do about JJ, Prescott, or any other issue that wasn’t going to change and, imo, affected my team’s ability to compete for a championship. I’m not talking about being stuck in the mire while rotating QBs in and out trying to find a franchise guy. That happens in the NFL. But we know this: Jones and family will be running this team until most of us are dead. Prescott is likely to be the QB for 7 more years if he plays like he has for the majority of his career. I’m just saying that if I hated those things so much that I felt it necessary to complain incessantly about it, I’d roll out.

I don't hope for his or their death, but I'd be thrilled if the entire family was on their yearly yacht vacation and got marooned on an island with no means of contacting the outside world for several years until the league forced in a new owner.

May I ask why anyone is still a fan?

They don’t like you. Why do you like them?

This isn’t your Tom Landry and Roger Staubach Cowboys, folks.

It's simple. The Cowboys existed before the Jones ownership and many of us were fans before he bought the team. The Cowboys will likely exist as long as the NFL exists and the Jones family eventually will either sell or somewhere down the road a descendent will actually do the right thing and hire people. As long as I don't support the team by purchasing merch or going to games or watching on media that would get them revenue from ads, I can be a fan and not support the Jones family.

It tells you they're not selling.
Correct and it should tell everyone around here that complaining 24 hours a day 365 days a year everyday all day that's all you do is complain it should tell you to stop complaining 'cause things aren't gonna change so you have a choice follow the Dallas Cowboys as is and just let it go or just completely let it go and move on to another team to root for because this is the same thing that happened when al Davis left people thought the Raiders would get better now that Davis family still owns it and just because they're not as upfront in press conferences and in your face that doesn't mean that the Raiders have changed at all because it doesn't look like it 'cause they're not even as good as the Dallas Cowboys they wish they'd been to the playoffs 5 seven years they wish they had an opportunity to win two division titles from a team that's allegedly ran better I mean the eagles we beat them twice matter of fact we own the NFC East when Prescott and the team is relatively healthy when they play a full season with most of our starters we compete very well the eagles and typically beat Washington and New York all the time like so much, kts lopsided.

The point is as bad as it is or it seems to be around here because of Jerry the GM versus Jerry the owner and the family it could be worse and I hate to quote him because he's right though Jerry Jones says we're top six and win percentage the last decade they've always been top 10 regular season and wins they still go to the playoffs they still put good enough teams on the field to compete there are teams out there that like the Browns who haven't even won a division since 1989 it could be worse..
