I'm not sure why I even bother to respond to you since you clearly don't read anything I say that doesn't suit your narrative. I have stated at least a hundred times here on this forum that this style of offense suits Pollard's style better. However to your first point? Are you kidding me? With a good o-line opening holes consistently Zeke would absolutely destroy. How do I know this? Because he has done exactly that up until last season. If the line was able to get Zeke to the second level untouched consistently he would again lead the league in rushing because DBs have a hard time tackling him. Some don't even try. What people who don't understand football don't get is that the line isn't going to open chasms for a back every running play.. Sometimes the back is going to need to move the pile, run a guy over, shake off a tackler in the backfield. Every play isn't going to be able to go outside.. You need to be able to run it through all the gaps as well as to the outside. If all you can do is one or the other you're not going to be successful. I'm not saying Pollard can't run between the tackles.. because he can.. He's just not as effective at it as Zeke and there are real questions as to whether he can hold up if asked to do it as much as Zeke is. Maybe he can.. We're probably not going to find out unless Zeke gets hurt. All I know is that you simply cannot build your running game around an inconsistent running back and to this point that is what Pollard is. Maybe that changes going forward but the swings in his production are too pronounced right now to count on.
LOL..............DB's do not have a hard time tackling Zeke at all. In fact he can rarely make anyone miss.
"If the line could get Zeke to the 2nd level" LOL At least admit he cant do it on his own.
But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO your conclusion is wrong as always. Pollard at the 2nd level is much more potent as he has moves and the speed to make guys miss. He is even better at breaking tackles. Pollard also has the speed to outrun them to the end zone. But obviously you havent even noticed that.
Zeke simply tries to run over guys and the run ends there as he cant make them miss.
