I wasn't able to recap but the most important comments were:

Tony Romo will be the holder against San Diego

Jerry Jones also hinted that Marion Barber is going back to his role as a "Finisher".

Jerry Jones also stopped short of criticizing Steve Dennis. He said members of the media in general should just report the news and stop getting involved with the team as if they are actual members of the team.

Also, he defended Flozell Adams and feels he has a good chance of winning his appeal. He feels players and Refs are being a bit sensitive.

Sounds good to me. Maybe he can have the impact he had early on, without having to carry the work load.

Wow, I like the sound of that, but I wish he wouldn't of said anything if it's true.

That's a crafty shot from Jones. ;)

Earlier in the year I thought Barber deserved the benefit of the doubt. After seeing the past couple of games I think he does need to be reined in a little.I think i'd still start the game with him but I would limit his touches in the 2nd/3rd quarters significantly.

Jerry's right about the media staying out of the stories in Dallas, of course.

There must be something else to the Flo/Tuck story. At least, the Cowboys are supporting Flo where ordinarily they'd be frustrated with them they way they were with Bradie James for shoving Tiptoe a few years back.

Unless Barber is 100% healthy and back to his old running style (which we have not seen all year long) then this really means nothing. Dallas has been unable to establish any kind of running game over the past few weeks. All the stats are based on earlier this year -- since Colombo went down, we have been terrible in the run game. The line is average at best, and Barber seems two steps slow and weak. One guy can tackle Barber today, did not see that last year. Barber is average at best right now.

Talk about showing your hand. If we walked Choice out there as our starter and pounding the ball at them, mixing in Felix situationally and Barber in short yardage. Then we strolled a healthy Barber out there in the 4th quarter, the Chargers wouldn't know what hit them.

Instead, now they know to plan on seeing him as the finisher.

Good work Jerry. Also, thanks for Joe D letting everyone know that Romo being the holder would open up more fakes. Even though its a given, don't let teams know that we're thinking about it.

and i agree. i can understand asking why something was done, but these days "news" articles are more blogs and backseat coaches than they are news.

you're kidding, right?

you telling me that men making millions of dollars a year simply can't adjust to what seems to be from yuu such a radical gameplan?

and being a thursday, how much prep can you suddenly do for tashard "mr december" choice? don't get me wrong, i love choice so far but he's got a log way to go still to be something more than a paul palmer.

one good game and people think he'll do that each and every week. till the one week he doesn't have a good game, then suddenly, he never will again.

it never ends with some.

Nice rant.

And yes I think it would make a difference in terms to how you run blitz, what personel you use, and how you substitute players late in the game.

I don't like Jerry telegraphing that Barber will return to his role as a finisher, every little bit matters in this game. I don't like tipping my hand, but Jerry absolutely loves to.
