8-3 is relative to where we can go, dont look at the past like last week or last year, unless you can see to do something different from last year to improve this year. You can look back at ny giant game, that is beneficial, see how you could have won that ballgame and not committ those mistakes, and as a coach thats all you should do. That you shouldnt spend too much time on reflecting on past years etc, but if you see a way to improve something you do that, but you stay focused on the game at hand, with ways to improve the team.

Salvation army is very beneficial to inspire those volunteers, and they raised over 130 million last yr and will probably raise more this year. We all receive credit for those red kettles, been around over 126 yrs.

Wade said he acknowledged had conversation with you; i think we all have a tendency to see some things we have some things we can improve on, and of course wade has some thinking to influence some of my decisions as well as mine. The reporters talked to jerry where wade said if its just one person talking and one listening, etc, but jerry didnt elobarate on that.

Wade has players out there now doing his schemes jerry said, and if you have a good defense, you can get it done, while jerry said in comparision to get ball in hands of the good players the saints have, while jerry eluded to hello marion barber.

Then jerry talked about fans questioning romo in las vegas with cristism, you do that as elite prospects, but romo realizes he has to be here every morning, bright and early like 7 or 8 to get treatment before practice etc. Thats how it should be with the qb and some spend hours and hours like romo in film room, and romo does that and needs a break now and then. Many of us go to vegas, not me, anyway, jerry continues taking a quick trip and see that point of getting away.

Practice squad players like woods, i hope he develops as a player, at this time of the year its a good time to do that with practice squad and if you need depth,, like linebackers, you need more and we continue to bring them in, i pointed to this about the 3-4 linebackers needing more on a post yesterday..

We are there right now with each series, i told the team we may never be back here nad have opportunity to do it again, but you can do something about it and do it now and stay focused.

Jerry talked about jason garrett with a fans question with wade doing things on defense, is j garrett job in jeopardy, if he doesnt succeed, jerry said, no, i have confidence wiht what jason can do and he has a very important responsibility another jerry jones spin here if you see the remarks jerry made

Just a motivator with a fans comment about wearing your cap backwards, and jerry said i think its a real motivator to have your *** kicked, thats what jerry said;

i think we will stay with our standard jersey, our throwbacks is our 3rd jersey, if we are in playoffs our jersey will be dictated what the teams do if we have to go to their stadium in reference

talked about stephen being tight lipped on a college question of a team playing here

jerry talked about arkansas game, and getting ryan malick, however you pronounce or spell his name. Jerry said he didnt think the qb signed was as mobile as some other player but he is a good player.

some fans say they want jerry to wear his hat backwards.
jerry said look real close in the game sunday

jerry said hope we can get decent weather and our guys have right frame of mind its what we do or dont do in turnovers with the cowboy players controling their own destiny paraphrasing here, but that the players are real focused and know what is at stake.

talked about weis finding work in nfl, jerry thinks he will get a job in nfl, that the nfl and college is meat grinder on coaches but that weis is a real good coach and he will get a job somewhere, most likely in the nfl jerry thinks.

thats it guys;

If Garrett can't get it together maybe Weis can fan a job in Big D as Oc.

you never know, i think i would rather have weis as an offensive consultant

helping garrett by relaying stuff from the booth etc, breaking down film, making adjustments after defenses do, etc

Jerry Jones OK with Las Vegas trip

Owner and general manager Jerry Jones has no problem with Tony Romo's quick getaway to Las Vegas with wide receiver Miles Austin last Friday.

Not that you would expect him to say anything different.

"I think it says it all when you realize he has to be back," Jones said on his appearance on The Fan Tuesday morning. "Every morning he has to come to the training room because he does have a back he's treating, so that's a requirement and guys can't get too far away because they have to be there bright and early, 7 or 8 in the morning or earlier on a practice day to get treatment. He was there and sharp and on time. That gave him a little breakaway from it. We just don't have anybody out there that spends the hours in the classroom - that's how it should be, he's the quarterback - but those guys spend hours and hours and hours in the classroom and a break is good."

Romo had treatment on his back Friday, flew to Las Vegas for a function and returned early Saturday morning and had more treatment on his back as the Cowboys had their Thanksgiving break.

Dear Jerry,

Go get CHARLIE WISE NOW!!!!!!!!!
As a consultant? Possibly. Otherwise, that's not gonna happen. New England's a safe bet, though.

wade as defensive coordinator

of course only way that happens to me, say the cowboys for some strange reason dont make the playoffs or lose again in first round of playoffs

then wade might have to take a demotion and be only the defensive coordinator, so wade will have to see, thats who he is, and with no one wanting to hire him as a head coach because with 3 teams he didnt win any playoff games when it really mattered, that wade will have to swallow his pride and accept being only a defensive coordinator if he wants to coach period.

to me, if wade say gets to the playoffs and loses in 1st round, then wade has done what with 3 main teams?
Gotten them to playoffs and never won a playoff game when playing against a team in the playoffs, not getting a bye win. That to me shows possibly he cant win in the playoffs and is overmatched against other coaches.

Then to me with that losing in playoffs no owner is going to want to hire him as a head coach.

Now, that doesnt mean say wade wins his first playoff game or say even his 2nd playoff game if going by the wildcard playoff games. That would most likely get wade a contract exetension for another year. Then, it will be up to Jerry Jones to make some trades and get the players to put them over the top like when jerry jones and jimmy johnson traded for charles haley frojm 49ers and safety thomas everett from the steelers in 92.

thats most likely where he will wind up or say if shanahan gets a job or holgremen, then they might hire weis as a offensive coordinator or he will wind back up in new england like you say dallas east.

Regardless of the season's outcome, it's extremely unlikely that Wade Phillips will accept a demotion to defensive coordinator for two reasons. One, such a move rarely happens in football. Two, there isn't any overwhelming motivation such as income, career advancement, etc., to push him into making that choice.

What about mike nolan, he took the defensive job as coordinator with the broncos.

Again, i understand what your saying about wade not resigning with the cowboys as defensive coordinator, but you know jerry, he generally gets what he wants and money always talks.
