Just thought this was worth posting here because I have been going back and fourth for a while with guys on here wanting guys that are more "box safeties" It's clear they are looking for a guy with range and coverage abilities

Cyprien and Swearinger are players. There's other safeties behind them too that can make plays on the ground and in the air too.

Jerry's sentence structure is nothing short of amazing. From past experience, he seems to be in pre-draft double speak mode, so I'm not sure that his statements here have any informational value, but it would seem to signal that he is looking for some speed at the position via the draft..... which might mean that he is hoping that Barber will be available when he can push more cap obligations into the future via restructuring.

I love the new "simplistic" approach. This after pimping the confusing and varied looks we were supposed to get with Ryan.

Sort of like the continuity they preached with Wade and his staff as a reason to keep him around after 2008, I believe. Now, continuity be damned. If you aren't coordinating your unit to the top of the league by your second season you're out. Unless you're the OC. Well then you get like a decade to see if you can make it work.

Kind of rules out guys like TJ McDonald, Shemarko Thomas, Elam and Reid.
