The excuse for fans is still that he had an agenda against Jimmy Johnson, and blasphemed Tom Landry...no matter what he actually brings into the team as talent...it was always dumb and over paid for, despite setting the franchise right again with the windfall of top draft picks for Jimmy to go shopping with.

Then what would people talk about. Some whine, some complain, some back him, some don't care.....LOL

But I know what you mean, sometimes one wants to cringe when he talks. I always think what size shoe is he wearing today.

No bigger than his mouth but he's not all bad not even half bad.

Let's keep this about Brent playing football with the occasional snarky remark about Jerry's ability to run the club, please.

Jerry's an owner, an entrepeneur, a GM, a physician, a coach and a public speaker all rolled up into one. Apparently, we can now add psychoanalyst to the list. He evidently has a full grasp of the most intimate inner workings of Josh Brent's mentality. (Not only that but he has the brain of a 40-year-old man.) Is there nothing this man isn't capable of? It's just mind-boggling, isn't it? (cough)

Here's the quote from Jerry. Notice the bold.

"In a totally and completely different way, and I’m going to make sure everybody understands it is a completely different way, if you understand what I’m saying, Chad Hennings joined the Dallas Cowboys and he had actually flown in Desert Storm single-pilot jets."

Looks like Jerry offered a couple major disclaimers for the quote before saying what he said. He did his part.

Not his fault some people are just too sensitive to be sensible. Is it fun searching for things to be offended by?

Yes, the fact that he issued a disclaimer prior to making the comparison makes said comparison less asinine.

Or, perhaps it is still an asinine comparison. You can decide which one works for you. I'll go with asinine.

He was in the same status on this team as Hayden. If I recall he wasn't even considered a starter. He had a higher ceiling than Hayden, but he wasn't special. Just a rotational guy.

Bingo.....but for some reason people on the zone think Brent will be the savior for this DL.........but thats how the Cowboys build there defense.....players off the street, injured or out of jail.....its amazing that the Cowboys have stooped this low......championship baby

I have the same opinion. It has became a mental health issue with some fans

Nah, it's not the least bit asinine to suggest that different life experiences can change one's life perspective in similar ways. That's actually just common sense. Some people don't grow up until they have a kid, or get married, or lose a loved one, or get a job after college, or get arrested, etc.

Saying so doesn't mean I'm "comparing" getting arrested with having a baby. That's an INCREDIBLY dense way to look at it. Asinine, really.
