Cerrato if the Skins has his own radio show

Savage of the Browns has a weekly radio gig

Colts Bill Polian has a weekly radio show

Scott Pioli of the Pats does weekly radio appearances

Carl Peterson of the chiefs has a weekly radio show

Mike Tannenbaum of the jets has a weekly radio spot

Ozzie Newsome of the Ravens has a radio show weekly

Jerry Reese of the Giants does weekly radio

Mike Reinfeldt of Tenn has a weekly radio show

Now let's add the PC'c and the face time. How about Hard knocks? ANY one of your mentioned guys fire a receiver on HBO? Commercials, one of which he's BOASTING about over-paying a CB? Rather ironic the CB in question craves the attention almost as much as Jerry. Radio-schmadio. That's a necessity and owed to the fans, IMO. What Jerry does is whorish. His own personal soap opera.

So basically the answer to your question is virtually every GM in the NFL comments and gives opinions weekly. They also do TV. You just see Jerry more because hello we are Americas team and you pay attention when its a Dallas players, coach, owner etc

You got reception to "virtually every" local tv station? Living 20 miles north of Denver I rarely hear from Pat.

It's not that we pay more attention it rivals car commercials for God's sake.

The thread is about his appearance on TV. My comments were directed to Jerry's need to be in front of the camera. I'll concede I didn't know other GMs had radio spots. But I don't care that Jerry has a radio spot either.

However, the point is, why is it that when it comes to America's team and questions surrounding the team and its players and their performance, which has been all over the sports news the past 3 weeks, I see Jerry and not the head coach?

I can't speak on other teams around the country as you can, but I do know here in Washington, when those type questions are posed they are addressed by Zorn and Harbaugh, respectively for the Skins and Ravens. Not Cerrato, and not Newsome. Also, contrary to what you say, Cerrato, and Newsome don't do TV. So, I wonder how many of the other GMs do too since you were wrong about that.

When has the media ever asked a question only once

What requirement is there to continue to answer or discuss it?

I love how everyone thinks Jerry was absent during the Parcells years

Who said he was absent? I said he was in the background. When there were questions about on-the-field performance or when the media wanted to talk or do features about the Cowboys, they went to the HC. If you want to maintain that Jerry's "public" role was not different, i.e., in the background, during the Parcells years then there's no point in going further because to state otherwise is simply not true.

This is the most visible franchise in the NFL So if Jerry is guilty of promotion I'll buy that. Ego, please he has accomplished enough not to jump on every tv opportunity.

There is also the probability Wade has been invited on NFL Network or Fox for that matter and has refused these invitations. It seems he does not even relish the week to week pressers with the local media even when we are winning. So what is Jerry to do, just ignore matters.

The vast majority of Hard Knocks was mostly about featuring the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry was not a big part of that short of a meeting shot and phone conversation. Again he is guilty of believeing he should aggressively promote this team.

What's truly ridiculous, IMO, is Jerry addressing the media in the locker room after a loss as if he were a coach.

Wasn't all that long.

Supports Wade. Didn't feel compelled to give vote of confidence. He was asked a question and responded.

Feels like this game is a must-win. That the record is disappointing. However, he feels like they can turn it around.

Didn't say anything about his speech to the players in the lockerroom. Said he focused on their corrections and what they needed to do.

Defended the RoyW trade. Nothing too in-depth. Just said he'd been trying to get him for two years. Talked about it from the draft impact. Said there was receiver who'd be able to step in and play like Roy W.

I disagree with Jerry, I don't think this is a must win game.

I know that is a very unpopular opinion, but I don't think a loss to the Bucs is a deal breaker.

However, if we lose this game and next week's game, it's probably over.

If we didn't make the Playoffs, I wonder if this would be the most disappointing Season in Cowboys History?

Wow what a shameless attention getter and face time freak Jerry is. Did he talk incessantly about how great HE is, and how HE was going to fix this team, and did HE plug HIS upcoming media events or speaking engagements (SARCASM).

yes, without a question.

honestly just MAKING the playoffs wasnt ever good enough...they needed to win at least a game or two

all things considered, this is the worst season the Cowboys have ever had since I started watching them in 1975

Wonder why THAT is? You've just slammed home the point. You can't sit there and believe that this is not beyond promotion. Start with Adam. Oops.

Nah. Don't ignore "matters". Another Pizza Hut commercial should fix it all better.

:lmao: "vast majority" featuring the Dallas Cowboys? :laugh2:

Even better.......... :lmao: Jerry was no a big part of Hard Knocks?! :lmao2:

There'd be no Hard Knocks without Jerry. Good Lord. You call it a phone conversation I'll call it firing a receiver which had NO business in Hard Knocks.
Jerry in the meeting room. Jerry in the draft room. Jerry signing autographs. Jerry heckling rowdy. Jerry w/ Magic. My fingers are tired................

Who's he pimpin? And I use that word strongly, with conviction.

I agree that if a football team is to be successful you need promotion. What this owner does/is doing undermines the football part of the football team. Craziness.
