Are people really buying this? The NFL has a salary cap, every team can afford any player as long as they have room under the cap. The money the stadium generates goes into his pockets. These NFL teams are gold mines for the owners.
If salaries were the only things owners had to payout, you might have a point.

But ok, I get it. GM Jerry should eat, sleep, and breathe football. Nothing else.

I think Jerry should focus strictly on hosting an NFL playoff game... but that's just me.

Are you sure?

Are you sure you don't want Jerry hosting a baseball game, too?

If this "fight" falls through, maybe Jerry can organize some cock fights?

Agree. Boxing has been ho hum since the Mike Tyson days and Manny is an infusion of excitement. MMA.. bah.. WWE.. bah.. Bring boxing back to where it once was. We need more exciting young blood in the boxing game.

For the record, I don't think Mayweather is thinking straight. If he was he would stay far away from PaQman.
:laugh2: I love how he's all of a sudden the best thing ever since beating an old washed up Oscar and beating an overrated brawler in Hatton. Mayweather will take Manny to school and give him a boxing lesson when they fight.

Well, if some posters wishes come true and Jerry brings in Vick, maybe he can do some pitbull fights too!

I think all coaches, players, scouts and Jerry should sequester themselves year round. They can all eat and sleep in one big room, falling asleep together singing football songs, and wake in the morning fresh and ready to continue thinking about and discussing football.

All football, all the time. Football robots 4lyfe.

I don't give a damn about the owners stadium issues, it has nothing to do with the team. If Bud Adams wanted to do this I wouldn't have a problem because he has nothing to do with the football operations but Jerry is the GM. I don't want my GM thinking about anything but football related business.
And Jerry doesn't give a damn what you think.

I like your thinking...

And when they have to meet the press, they all say the same stock answers. "We played hard." "The other team played hard" "No comment"

Instead of the Stepford Wives, we have the Stepford footballers...

Gayweather won't last long against Pacquiao. He'll cowher as soon as Manny comes after him. Wouldn't be surprised if Pac man knocked Gayweather out in 1st or 2nd round like Hatton. Hatton was a brawler in his fight with Gayweather and it took Gayweather 10 rounds to score a knock out. It only took Pacquiao 2 rounds.

Thanks. Dang, 12 years of no playoff wins and some people are satisfied with the way Jerry runs this franchise. Some people need to stop buying what Jerry is selling.

You didn't think that the old Texas stadium was exclusive Dallas Cowboy games, did you?

The only way Pacquiao has a chance is if Mayweather is rusty. But if Mayweather is on his game, he will win. Pacquiao will make it exciting though.

You mean to tell me for the last 12 years Jerry's (our GM) been aggressively marketing Texas Stadium? Let's see, how many playoff wins do we have during that span?

“The owner of the Dallas Cowboys called me and they want the fight in their new stadium,” said Arum

Name another NFL GM that's discussing this. This is part of the problem with a GM/owner. Other NFL GMs are discussing football issues and football issues only.

This is soooo WRONG!!! They are business men and you don't know what they are discussing in the offseason and I bet it isn't just football. Dude get real!!!
