Jerry Jones wants to win

I’ll tell you why he and them were so happy. They were on the mat...and Jerry had seeds of doubt in his mind, and thinking he may have to make some changes,I know he was. This doesn’t mean the team is good and all peachy though. Look like dog poop next week, and it’s back to square one.

Yeah, he'd go from riches to rags and do everything under the sun to win...except for the 1 thing that has the best chance at winning. Removing himself from the equation and staying in the owner's box.

Bingo

As long as Jason is the coach here, I question how much he really wants to win.

This is nothing more than raw emotion after a close game. Doesn't mean a thing. It just means he's human. He still has no idea how to run this franchise. And hasn't since Jimmy was let go.

You don’t think the elation had anything to do with wanting to win?

I think any owner or exec, no matter how inept or stubborn, “wants to win.” So yeah, I’m really happy to see him enjoying this.

To suggest this sort of display speaks to his resolve to do everything in his power to drive football excellence here? I would hope that’s not the notion being pushed in this discussion.

The OP merely was merely using this as an argument against those that say Jerry is doesn’t really care if the team wins and his only interest is the money.

Weird take.

Cheerleaders and fans want to win too. The difference is that neither cheerleaders or fans get in the way of wins. If Jerry truly wanted to win like many of you claim, he would get out of the way and hire the best football GM and coaches money could buy. Anything else is an excuse. Wanting to win more than anything means sacrifice.

Could not have said it better myself.

Of course he wants to win. Its just not important enough to make him hire a legit coach that would tell him to stay out of the way.

He may not know how to win, but he wants too. Look at this emotion. This isn’t fake.

When I view the Jones Clan in the box during the games I wanna barf up my Tostitos ( Sorry Dak lol) .......Have a feeling we will never see another Title in our lifetime as long as our Cowboys are the Jones clans Cash TOY Cow...

But, he only wants to win HIS WAY.

If he REALLY wanted to win, he'd shell out some of his precious $$$ and hire the BEST GM in the league and let him hire HIS coach and make HIS personnel decisions.

In that instance, Jerry would likely win a ton of games and perhaps, gulp, even a championship.

But, as we all know, he will never do it.

So yeah, he wants to win, but not do everything it takes to win.

Jones is for Jones....Cowboys come 2nd .....

I mean, it’s not a very effective illustration if that argument suggests winning is paramount to these people, but ok. Folks are generally happy on these occasions. And good for Jerry, because, you know, life is swell for the Jones family.
