Ronald Martinez/Getty Images While I was reading the report that Jerry Jones decided to retain Wade Phillips, I started thinking, is Jerry Jones putting in all his chips to make a run at the Super Bowl in 2010. OK, to support this theory, if Jones brought in a new coach, the offense would have to learn a new system, and possibly there would be a clean house of players and coaches assistants.

Let's say for argument sake Jerry is making a huge run to reach the Super Bowl in 2010, the payoff for him would be huge. A marquee team verses the Cowboys, (America's Team) in the Super Bowl, that will be in the new Cowboy Stadium, would be a cash cow. Yes Jerry will make his money even if the Cowboys would not make the Super Bowl, because of the Cowboys Stadium. In my opinion, even though, Jones gave Phillips an extension, if the Cowboys do not get it done in 2010 he is gone.

I also I think Dallas will make some major roster moves this off-season, possibly pursuing Brandon Marshall in a possible trade during draft time, dumping Roy Williams (possibly trade or cut) and maybe getting rid of Marion Barber, depending what happens with the LaDainian Tomlinson situation, which he (Jerry) might pursue. At this time, the stakes are high in Dallas and Jerry is looking for a major payout!! What are your thoughts on this?

yeah i thought that was silly too, i would rather go after sproles but im sure the chargers will franchise him

I just don't see either of those 2 in a Cowboys star, but who knows.
Although i do agree next year is an all or nothing type thing. We must do everything in our power to make it.

Why would you go after Sproles when there are 3 good running backs on this team? Even getting rid of Barber why would you pursue Sproles when there are clear cut needs elsewhere?

One year after taking the garbage out you want Jerruh to bring in more in Marshall. just plain STUPID.

LT is DONE= he is much less of a RB now then Barber is. DOUBLE STUPID.

I would have to agree he ran hard right up to the end but there is no fuse left in that little piece of dynamite. I agree with the premise just not the data injected, I think Marion Barber better keep his luggage packed, I am sure the media will not miss him, not sure what that get us down the line as his value is surely muted with this years performance. What gets us over the hump I think takes more than one player maybe Ogletree is as good as some zoners think and that would a huge step in the right direction. We still need to provide Tony about one more second for things to develop and then address the kicking. That is my take.

one more second? You are not asking for much are you. The O line would have to be twice as good against top rushes for that.

LT is done, Felix is already better so why bother with that trade???

Brandon Marshall??? Seriously, we are going to trade for "baby TO"???

Wow, just wow.

The way free agency works this year it will be very hard to have any big free agent signings.

I don't think we really need any "BIG" free agent signings. Just tweak the roster with a couple of middle of the road type pickups if we can.
