This will be typical Jerry, we will cut him the week of the draft showing our cards at the draft that we need a #1 WR, instead of just waiting a week until after the draft. Smh....

Would they really cut him before the draft without at least trying to trade him?

It'd be a typical Jerry-move. Which I would disagree with him on at this point. At least wait till after the draft. What happens if you cut Dez only to realize that you couldn't get the WR that you were looking for? Now, you're in a sticky wicket at WR.

We have had over 1 million threads about Dez so far!! Will a final decision being made about Dez bring an end to these endless forum topics?? I fear it will only bring about 1 million more!! :omg:

Wait wasn't that supposed to have happened last Friday?

Jerruah will get to it when he gets to it. Dez can wait another week. This time of year, the weeks just bleed into one another anyway.

Im going to assume an extension to bring his cap hit down and give him more guaranteed money with incentives involved.

That's what I would guess but some people have said he's going to take a pay cut, meaning he's going to willingly take less salary next year.

Not sure I see that.

Kind of wish it were Steven, he's not as emotionally involved. Jerry meeting with him I think tells us all we need to know.
What does SJ have to do with it, you think it would matter?
Think of this has a contract re-negotiation, nothing more.

While I wish you were right, I just dont see it. Why a meeting to give him an extension after all the disrespect by the organization all off-season? Add in the fact that they are looking at so many WRs, I think hes done here.

As much as I want to disagree, your logic makes sense.

I honestly didn't think they would cut him. They still might not. But there are definitely a few flags here indicating otherwise.

I take the other side of this, why would you have a big leaked build up to a meeting where you cut him? Seems rather drawn out and silly. If they were gonna cut him the meeting would be quick and private I would think. This isn't a mob movie lol.

Still, the point is that this fanbase will be even more divided if he winds up killing the league on another team. And I could see him doing well with the other LA team (AKA the Chargers).

Saints, Pats, or Commanders would be my first choices for his landing

Restructure or cut. The NFLPA doesn't like when players take any type of pay cut....

And why wait to Friday? Just call him and cut him.

Now I am perplexed. LOL.
