Jerry needs to fire Wade and give Jason

what part of good blocking do you not comprehend? dude, everybody has seen it, except for you apparently

Right, ok, because through any of my posts I've said the blocking was bad. I've never said it was in fact I've said we have a great run blocking line the problem is our play caller relying too much on the pass when they're struggling and our running game is eating up yards in all but 1 game this season

I am Jason Garrett's biggest fan on this forum. Not a doubt in my mind about that. I want him to be our Head Coach.

But not in the middle of a season.

Who do we turn the Defense over to, because firing Wade means we need a DC as well. There aren't any guys available that I am aware of and promoting from within is a huge risk.

Yeah, 'cause Garrett is so proven. With that line of thought, Rowby should be our next head coach. Hey! Just 'cause I like him.

hogwash...if Jimmy were coaching this team, butts would be chewed and some players might even be benched or replaced

Yes, and Garrett would've been David Shula'd by now too.

he's the co-HC. it's not a promotion, just a change in formal title.

Wade's unit has been doing as good as they can with the problems they have (lack of depth, youth/inexperience in the 2ndary).

How "proven" was Josh McDaniels?

How "proven" was John Harbaugh?

How "proven" was Tony Sparano?

How "proven" was Mike Smith?

How "proven" was Mike Singeltary?

Let me think about this,Wade started out 13-3 and since then he has a record of 12-9.It seems as though we are going backwards here.I don't know if Garrett is the answer, but it seems Wade cannot relate to this team anymore. The ultimate goal is to win championships and I don't see Wade doing that as head coach with the Cowboys. The argument can be made that this team has been bitten by the injury bug in the last 21 games, but that is just part of the game.Good teams overcome adversity and injuries with confidence(attitude/willpower),how much confidence does Wade exude at this time.

Our offence is #1 overall because we've played weak run D teams (with the exception of Denver) not because of our OC

Our RB's are making something out of nothing.

This is ridiculous, have you checked the teams the Giants, Eagles, Saints, etc. have played. We have the #1 offense in the league, deal with it.

Garrett must be doing something right.

Firing Wade and promoting Garrett from AHC to HC, really? Is that a major move.

Its pretty much what we have now.

I say no.

11 games to see if he can turn the team around. See if the team responds to his coaching. If they don't they can be an early candidate for Shanahan, Holmgren, Cowher or Chucky.

...the Colinshaw theory...no thank you...and of the four coaches you mentioned only one makes sense to me...

After the season I'd like to see them both gone. If things go sour the next month, then I'd be for firing Wade and promoting Jason to interim for the remainder of the year.

Wow Bach, I agree with you. Do you have any favorites for internal promotion to "interim D Coordinator"?

Grantham.

What he did right was get a a big guaranteed contract that's a holdover in a now a crumbled economy.

he's stroking Jerruh's ego with the small glimmer of hope of starting the JERRY JONES COACHING TREE" which he longs to have (but never will attain)

The Cowboys are #1 in the NFL in total offense. If they could ever stop shooting themselves in the foot in the redzone with stupid penalties and turnovers they would be better than the #7 scoring offense, and really have something.

I don't think Jason Garrett has the gravitas to be a good head coach ... but there's a line of thought that Romo would be a better QB if he had a disciplinarian HC to reign him in. Under that same line of thinking, there's something to be said that Jason Garrett would be a better OC if he had a head coach above him who installed discipline in his team.

not a garrett fan but what is the alternative? Would Shanahan, Cowher, Holmgren come in at this point? Financially, if this were your business would you pay three head coaches?

Horrible idea. We would be rewarding failure by promoting Jason Garrett. In his short tenure as offensive coordinator, he's made many boneheaded calls, and had multiple players both on our team and opposing teams questioning the scheme. I'd fire Garrett before Wade as the defense has been adequate (not stellar).

Garretts lacking some common sense IMO. Going at Bailey vs Hurd twice @ Den?

Wades defense is 0-3 in late drives and he hasnt corrected dumb penalties.

It wont happen but Id go after Kirk Ferenz(Iowa) or Greg Schiano(Rutgers)

This thread is nuts...

The one improvement in our offense is the run game, and that is because of Hudson Houck implementing the schemes.

The passing game, which is Garrett's forte, has regressed badly and Romo has regressed. Against the Giants, when they dropped their defensive backs, Romo had one of the worst days of his career, with a 4.4 Y/A.
