Cowboys owner Jerry Jones continues to express that he doesn’t put all of the blame for their defensive issues on DC Matt Eberflus. Does that mean Eberflus could be back next season?

“I’m not saying anything along those lines. But I don’t want to not answer you and sound like one way or the other. I’m just saying that we really can get down to business as it should be. And it will start first thing in the morning.”

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on not putting all of the defensive blame on DC Matt Eberflus: “Don’t blame this all on Flus. This took five or six years to get here. … I can make a case for you that we haven’t had a satisfactory defense for five or six years, really.”

Jones when asked about them having much better defenses under Dan Quinn: “But we were porous when we got in the playoffs. We were porous when we had to buckle up and stop the run. Dan did a great job. We really wanted to keep Dan.”

Somebody lock him in the bathroom.

Before kickoff Jerry Jones said he didn't have a timeline for impending decisions but repeated defensive woes this year don’t all fall on Matt Eberflus. “This took five or six years to get here. This is a product of several years of combinations of philosophies,” he said.

In related news, Jerry has been seen in deep discussion Johnny Lee II about the potential DC position. Who is Johnny Lee II you ask? He’s the son of Jerry’s freshman college roommate, Johnny Lee Sr..

So I guess they won’t be leaving him on the side of the Jersey Turnpike.

Why would anyone want to coach in Dallas, if you’re great you will get zero credit and if you stink (because of the crap personnel the GM puts on the field) Jerry will cut you loose. See the last penalty by Murray as proof of the GM crap players.
