It's clear Jerry wants Jason for the long haul and must be thinking about he five year extension. Maybe he can get Jason to take the janitor job at VR on that salary, so at least he can get some work out of him? Or hopefully he has a clause in there where it isn't all guaranteed..

Garrett never realized the skins had only 2 timeouts or he would have instructed dmac to stay in bounds .I have no idea who let this guy into Princeton.

You are taught day one of training camp to stay inbounds
No excuse for dmac running out of bounds
But those who wanted to not score the td need to remember the Seattle game we lost on a very short FG
You take the td and rely on your defense who had kept them out of the end zone for nearly 59 minutes

I had no problem with McFad going out of bounds on first down....he didn't go out of bounds on a play strung out...he picked up 8-9 yards...that's worth it.
I had no problem with scoring the TD when we did. Scoring a TD means you cannot lose on the next possession. Kneeling down and making the Skins use their timeouts and then kicking the FG means they don't have to score a TD.

So we kick a FG, we cut their time in half and use up their timeouts. Now the one horrible special teams play of the game--they had a great return and a penalty, so they're only one completion from kicking the tying FG and we're wondering why we didn't go for the win....worse, imagine another SpT meltdown like vs. NYG and a TD.

Worst that could happen was a great return, a penalty, and a long TD pass---all three happened, but thank goodness we had scored the TD and were only tied. And then we won the game...end of story.

Maybe another coach would have done it differently; maybe another RB would have picked up the first down and dropped at the 1 or 2. But this entire game we'd been playing a little outside the "play it safe" box, something we all complained about not doing all season. I have no problem with scoring the TD, taking a 7 point lead, and counting on the defense and kick off team to do their jobs...neither did...big surprise.

Good luck getting a HC with tactical knowledge in here. No level l headed coach will take this gig

Must have been the first time Jerry ever spoke without being drunk...

To be honest, if this was anyone other than Jason Garett, the HC would have been fired long ago. I'm shocked he actually used the world tactical now..

Jerry's sentimentalism with regards to players and personnel didn't just stop with JG.. It's actually become more pronounced for JG.

What are you doing here after a win?

Tell us a cool story about how we didn't really dominate Callahan's offensive line last night.

Because we know if the Commanders had dominated the line of scrimmage you would have made 20 posts about it already.

Change that! Please don't respond!

DMac needs to know to stay in bounds. Coach can't be in everyone's ear every second telling them what they should know. A freaking vet going out if bounds?

Everyone's ear? How about just the guy that will get the ball, because the play is called for him.. Did Jason have some other priority work to do, like maybe go lecture one of his players on his lack of tie taste for the journey to the stadium from the team hotel?

Jerry's way of deflecting the fact that he totally whiffed on the backup QB and the defense he ran into the ground isn't rebuilt yet. No doubt he thought the running game was the be-all end-all when, in fact, it was the superior QB execution on third downs that made it all work.

I think given all the back and forth on JG this year, if he pulls out a victory in GB, he deserve another year. On the other hand, I also think there are style points involved with every win and loss and Jerry is finally keeping tabs. The "moral victories" days are over I hope.

Do I bother you that much that you follow me around everywhere?

Are you now mad at the fact that I said before this game, Marinelli needs to blitz more to be better defensively up front, and I was right again?

Still don't think he fires jg

I don't either but he proved me wrong! I didn't want us to win because Jerry is usually delusional. My theory was with wins, we would get Jerry saying that it was such a great job and that we should stay the course. This gives me hope that he actually wants more

On a side note: Last night was probably one of the worst coached games of Garrett's tenure. The fact that we won is miraculous to me.

Wow, Jerry being critical. If that's the new Jerry I like it. I think Jerry realizes he's in his "Al Davis" phase of life and he's running out of time to feel that SB winning euphoria again.....

So Garrett was so bad at calling plays that they stripped him of those duties so he could oversee the whole team and concentrate on managing the games. Now, he has proven multiple times that he doesn't understand how to manage the final minute of a game. He has given the other team unnecessary chances to tie or win the game more times than I can now count. So he either needs to be fired, or Jerry needs to hire someone who understands the game of football to stand next to him during games and tell him what to do, especially in the final minute. Our head coach was hired as an offensive genius but proved he couldn't call plays and is now proving he doesn't know how to get the ball to his #1 WR or make common sense decisions at the end of the game. I think it's time to relieve him of his job and get Romo a real coach for his final years.

I blame the coaching to a certain point, but Mcfadden running out of bounds was only trumped in stupidity by JJ Wilcox grabbing a facemask on a block on the Skins kick return. Seems like no matter who the coach has been the last 10-15 years we sure have an overabundance of dumb football players.

You know another ironic thing about it..

The offense turned the ball over three times.. For the past ten weeks, we've been hearing that the defense needs to produce TOs for us to win. So we lost the TO margin by two and the defense held on and the offense was still lousy.

So maybe Jerry is now looking at the offense, because he's clearly spelling out winning with backup QBs, meaning he expects the offense to do more.

Even if he keeps Garrett because we know he's not going to dump him.

Jerry needs to ditch the "attaboys" and bring the "show me something" with Garrett and company.

How lucky is Garrett to be getting continues redo's.... IN THE SAME SEASON!?!?!?

I saw tweet from national pundits, not locals that think JG hung the moon saying "Why kick FGs instead of taking chances when you have the job security JG has."

And yet, our whole offense this season has been settling for field goals and now, suddenly we are suppose to not have faith in Bailey because we missed once in Seattle? Don't we practice field goals from day 1?

Let's also not forget their is a possibility of the runner being pushed out of bounds on a sideline run.. You know that's why defenses try and force action to the sidelines at such times in particular, to stop the clock..
