I don't either but he proved me wrong! I didn't want us to win because Jerry is usually delusional. My theory was with wins, we would get Jerry saying that it was such a great job and that we should stay the course. This gives me hope that he actually wants more

On a side note: Last night was probably one of the worst coached games of Garrett's tenure. The fact that we won is miraculous to me.

On a sad note I could name quite a few games worse than last night's.

Do I bother you that much that you follow me around everywhere?

Are you now mad at the fact that I said before this game, Marinelli needs to blitz more to be better defensively up front, and I was right again?

Yeah, I'm real mad about that! Especially since you were like the one guy in the world who thought we should blitz more.

Tell the truth man! It looks like Marinelli out coached Callahan last night. What do you think?

I had no problem with McFad going out of bounds on first down....he didn't go out of bounds on a play strung out...he picked up 8-9 yards...that's worth it.
I had no problem with scoring the TD when we did. Scoring a TD means you cannot lose on the next possession. Kneeling down and making the Skins use their timeouts and then kicking the FG means they don't have to score a TD.

So we kick a FG, we cut their time in half and use up their timeouts. Now the one horrible special teams play of the game--they had a great return and a penalty, so they're only one completion from kicking the tying FG and we're wondering why we didn't go for the win....worse, imagine another SpT meltdown like vs. NYG and a TD.

Worst that could happen was a great return, a penalty, and a long TD pass---all three happened, but thank goodness we had scored the TD and were only tied. And then we won the game...end of story.

Maybe another coach would have done it differently; maybe another RB would have picked up the first down and dropped at the 1 or 2. But this entire game we'd been playing a little outside the "play it safe" box, something we all complained about not doing all season. I have no problem with scoring the TD, taking a 7 point lead, and counting on the defense and kick off team to do their jobs...neither did...big surprise.

The Skins only had 2 timeouts left with only 1:13 on the clock, which means they can only stop the clock twice and would have left them with like 12 seconds on the clock after the FG. There's no way you score a TD there and allow them to keep their TO's with over a minute left in a game.

I'm surprised by what Jerry said. I didn't figure he'd even go that far when it comes to Jason Garrett.

It matters not though. He's not going to fire him at years end, regardless of what happens the rest of the way.

Garrett is here for another year, at the very least.

He did out-coach him tonight when he blitzed.. And?

So please tell me where you said our losses were not a coaching issue, but because we lost key personnel, such as Romo.. So we won a game without Romo, right because Marinelli made changes..

I know, you can't stand it that I'm right, so your looking for any glimmer of hope to defend your faith in Jason and even here, it's not Jason but Marinelli, with Jason showing his time management brilliance yet again..

I think we all know it, or feel it, that Jason will still be the head coach next year whether we really want it or not (personally I don't).

The only thing that could change that is if some Coach or Coaches agent out there whispers in Jerry's ear or indirectly says they would want the job offered and it would have to be someone with a big name or someone jerry really likes...basically another Big Tuna situation would have to happen before he would move on from Jason.
I don't know if a Mike Holmgren situation would happen but that would be a name that might make Jerry move on from Jason.

But as I said earlier...I think we all pretty much know that Jerry is sticking with jason.

Without a doubt. Just happy that he actually isn't just going with the flow and happy with 4-8. Glad he realizes that you should be "coached" to win a few more games. Honestly I can see a scenario where he moves Garrett in house with player personnel and hires another coach down the road.

Marinelli brought it yesterday and coached his *** off. Where was linehan and Garrett with there scheme? Same old vanilla offence and bad clock management. Against Greenbay the Offense has to let it all out and take chances, no more pop warner offence.

This is the first time in many moons that I've heard Jerry offer public criticism for JG's game management -- and it was well taken. The clock management was quite poor before Washington's TD scoring drive but that's nothing new. Garrett will be obliged to demonstrate better game management in the weeks that are to follow. Being without Romo surely doesn't bring out the best in either JG or Linehan and that's to be expected. It's highly questionable, however, if it should apply to the extent that it has since Romo's departure. Expect more critiques and judgments to be impending for the weeks and games that lie ahead . . . ;)

couple of quick points here:

1. Wonder what Jerry's reaction would've been had we lost last night?

2. As for getting the ball to Dez, I was wondering that the whole first 3 quarters. its unbelievable how they dont target Dez enough. Just some simple quick outs and let him break a tackle or something. its not rocket science.
