Jerry on Tapper

Michael Irvin and Everett McIver were neck-and-neck in the locker room once. Irvin came out ahead.

And you've always been consistent with that critique. I think (read: pray) Jerry and the FO has had its fill on these risk/reward players. I think we have also been kinda lackluster on drafting defensive players (not to say that Collins, Brown, Lee, and Jones haven't been gems).

Here's to a strong (defensive) draft. And perhaps some solid FA acquisitions.

Unfortunately like Gregory and his “Bob Hope” Jerry can’t help himself.

Now if only we could book Jerry into a rehab centre for the three days of the draft. ;)

Was hoping for Dak when we took Tapper.
Got him anyway:thumbup:

I think a few of us like Tavon Young and Joshua Perry too.
Tapper may end up being pretty decent for us....sure hope so.

I say go into this draft and free agency as though you don't have any real DE contributors...

What...I can't get no love?

At the end of the day, he's still a 4th round pick. It's not like Jaylon Smith who would've gone top 5 if healthy. I hope he turns out well but we have three opportunities to draft DEs with a higher grade.

Do you mean "have" or "had"?

If you mean had then take a look at the draft up to the point J. Smith was taken in the 2nd round. A whole lotta DE's were drafted... Including a couple the Cowboys had a definite interest in at their spot in the 2nd round. After that things dried up quickly.

According to several, Tapper went lower than he should have. Ourlads for example had him going in the 2nd or 3rd round.

In addition not all 4th rounders need play like 4th rounders.

Ahem.
