Jerry wants his money's worth out of Zeke.
Zeke is going to be all spent by the end of the year and no more good in Dallas.
Don't get it wrong, Jerry is sinister.
You get it my friend. When Dallas let's Zeke go....Jerry is going to make SURE he got what he paid for. Oh...wins and losses while he wages this personal battle are secondary

Maybe Tony Pollard will have 1300 yards, and Zeke will have 800.....
That's what I'm hoping for. Just because drunkie said we'll run more doesn't mean well exclusively run Zeke. I'm hoping Pollard gets more opportunities.

So he meant what he said about Zeke being the focal point of the offense. How many ya think we'll see in the box? Guess........lol

Delusional. We would all welcome that. It’s just that the run game sucks. And yes, zeke is a pert of that.

Which do you think is easier for sub-par offensive linemen to do? Pass block 50 times a game or run block 40 times a game?

Ease will have nothing to do with it, most likely. On the days when the running isn't working, they're going to have to pass.

Well, if you look at the WR group going into week 1 (no Gallup, no Washington and a bunch of unknowns) versus the RB depth chart...which group is better? Elliott and Pollard vs. Lamb and whomever.

On this one, I can't disagree with Barnum. The 1-2 combo of backs is the strength of the offense until Gallup returns and Tolbert develops.

Feels dirty to agree with anything the Jones boys say. Yuck!

Feels dirty to agree because it's wrong...dead wrong. Our Oline is a mess, especially the left side and teams won't have a problem containing Zeke. Pollard OTOH? I have more optimism IF they can get him in space somewhat.

Let me go on record right now and say I am not mad at Zeke. He was mismanaged from the beginning. Garret and Jones thought they had the next Emmitt Smith. There will NEVER be another Emmitt Smith! That era is gone! The athletes are too big fast and strong for RBs to handle the amount of punishment it requires to rack up that many yards. Plus the athletes are too smart to want to jeopardize their long term health by putting that many miles on their brains and bodies. Plus we were ahead of our time with the advantage we had with an OL that minimized the amount of punishment Emmitt had to endure. Like I said....that era is gone!

Zeke and his agent saw they were about to give him the DeMarco Murray treatment and they got out ahead of that. Jerry was publicly flogged for giving in to Zeke at the negotiating table and he would rather "win" in his mind by running the wheels off of him...than admit defeat. This thing between Zeke, Zekes agent...and Jerry is personal!!!

Why would you pay a qb 40 million and feature a slow, over the hill back?

Why pay a QB 40 mil who isn't capable of taking over games on his own? You put a game in Brady or Rodgers' hands and you pay a steep price. Dallas has been victim to that many times. That simply isn't the case with Dak.

I would get Pollard the ball a lot more than Zeke, but we all know Jerry won't have any of that.

I don't think Jerry has much faith in Dak.

I think it's equal parts that and equal parts having too much faith in Zeke. Jerry thinks the world of Zeke so he's going to give him every chance to prove that he can carry the team.

Zeke and pollard combined for 337 carries. How much more do we need?

He wants Zeke over 300 by himself. That's the real issue here. Someone told him that every time Zeke has gone over 300 carries, he's produced in a big way. To his credit, Zeke has but he only got that many carries because the flow of the game allowed it.
