Here is what Jerry Jones thought about the officiating Thursday night (h/t @gbagnation)

Anybody else open this thread with a feeling of dread each week?

I just hope they keep playing Leary at LG. He's played at a Pro Bowl level this season. Give Collins half of the reps at RT for the next week. God knows we could use improvement at that position.

I know I saw Witten catch a pass last night. Was it called back due to penalty??

He doesn't have the movement skills for a RT.

You did see Clemmings at OT for the Vikings right?

That's what you would get with Collins.
Clemmings is not bad because of a lack of movement skills (physically). He just has bad technique and awareness.

Collins played LT in the SEC. There is a high probability that he would be better than Doug Free at RT with a full training camp of practice there. Sure he might always be better at Guard than he is at Tackle, but that does not mean that he wouldn't be better than Free.

Collins stunk it up earlier this year. Let him sub packeages and keep rolling with Leary

I would not say Collins stunk it up. He was playing injured.
But agree, keep it as it is, Leary starts.

Obviously the Cowboys simply do not like him there for whatever reason.

RT is Green's to win or lose next season.

As I stated, he had more than 4 targets (I think he had 7, but I don't know the exact number), it's just that he only caught 4 of them. If he had 7 targets, that's 14% of all offensive plays run. Could they have targeted him more? Probably...but I don't recall them showing any replays of Dez being ignored while running open. Replays did, however, showed several times where Dez was well covered.
Marriuci pointed out that there was a play indeed when Dez faked Rhodes and was open but not seen by Dak. So much so that evidently both Rhodes and Dez had a good laugh about it after the play ended

If that's the case (and I don't doubt you...I just didn't recall seeing it), that makes several recently that Dak has missed seeing. Man I'll be so glad when he's experienced enough to make teams pay for blown assignments. Right now, he sees them sometimes, and sometimes he doesn't.

I've also seen Free play their long enough to know another option wouldn't be a bad idea. Free also doesn't have the consistent movement to be an effective RT.

If they weren't going to replace the QB with one who had started a gazillion games and set franchise records for fear of "not messing with a good thing," they aren't going to swap in a 2nd year player at LG who hasn't been able to practice since the beginning of the season. Leary's going to keep starting until he gets hurt or until they pack up the lockers after the last game.

Will be great to have another "best backup in the league" situation though.

At this juncture it doesn't really matter.

They aren't changing Free out this season and he'll probably be off the roster next season.
