Oy. Dak better get used to running.

It’s the eternal optimist in him . He loves his guys. And will until it sinks.

This doesn’t surprise me at all. It’s typical of how he operates . Much like with the RB and WR by committee. He’s all in until it fails. Then he’ll react.

Jerry's tweet is, unfortunately, just another way of saying "we like our guys."

He stubbornly adheres to the idea that his present roster is a fix-all solution.

Unfortunately, that's the delusional version of thinking that curses this team.

Jerry and Stephen protect egos that prevail upon false ideals of excellence.

We may get some penalties early on but Smith will grow into the role.

We already know that Prescott isn't going to be able to lead this team with his arm. So expect a long season of Zeke getting hammered and the Cowboys ending up in a lot of 3rd and long situations. This will likely be Zeke's last year as a Cowboy.

Winning formula is elite defense, great special teams and manage the game on offense.

Dak isn’t going to score 35+ a game this year.

But if he limits the turnovers, maintains the game and plays the field position game, we will be in a lot of games late.

Yet there are no "plug in" LTs, not this year not ever, that would be like losing your starting QB and just waiting for someone to cut a Matthew Stafford,, not happening.
That is why I stated "best available plug-in." You are correct there are practically zero Tyron Smith-level left tackles for Jones to acquire. There will not be some Andrew Whitmore type tackle unretiring to save the day. However, that does not eliminate probable left tackles that may be better than those already on this roster.

Talent level varies from player-to-player. Acquring a player that has less talent than Smith will not get you the same degree of blocking effectiveness but landing a player with more talent than tackles on the roster will get your better blocking ability than you currently have.

Churning is not a perfect give-and-take. Any GM must work at finding and adding the best players out there. A GM should never consign himself into basically saying 'I have done everything I can do' whenever that is not true.

He also needs to lead the offense to put up a few points on the board.

Yep, we at least need one more guy.

Think if Tyler Smith gets injured.

Or, Heaven forbid Cee Dee Lamb...

You need guys who can pass block. We've got the guys who can run block, we need pass protectors.

Tyler Smith at LT does not address depth (OT and OG) and swing tackle issue.

What if Tyler struggles, now Cowboys have holes along entire left side.

And more injuries likely to occur.

Very correct, Im just saying replacing TS level of play is off the table outside of a substantial trade, we just need to come to terms as fans that LT is going to be a major issue.
Now can we alleviate some OL stress, yes I believe we can, and that means that adding any OL that can improve this OL, depth included,, add it.
This FO and McClay need to be focusing on improving this "OL Unit", now.
LT is a quagmire, and Moore is sweating bisquits on how he will feature a less left side offensive attack.
