If the OL craters and Dak is being flushed because of poor LT play, it won’t matter how good our skill people are.

He’s such an arrogant schmuck.
Just like he thought Emmitt was replaceable until two games into his holdout Jerry saw that they couldn't win.
Just like he thought the team could win with little talent on the OL because of Romo's mobility until he saw they couldn't win.
Just like he thought the team could win with no talent at the WR spot until he had to trade for Amari because he saw they couldn't win.
Just like now. Here we go.
Yay us.
We have truly bad internal team evaluations going on here and it all falls on Captain Brown Teeth.

The most logical way to do it?

That would have been PLANNING AHEAD with Tyrons injury history you absolute buffoon
Why do any of you believe that Payton will be any better? This team has been in the playoffs, had the number one seed, and had good players come through, since Jimmy left; the Dallas culture sucks the life out of everyone attached to this organization.
Why would Payton want to come in here and put up with that old man looking over his shoulder. I just can't see it.

The "Les Miserables" author would say we are poised for greatness.

And, yes, I am watching the game from the wine cellar.

Quite well, actually. My grandfather was a French sommelier.

I read the quote where he said from within before we look for a trade or free agent.
We got slim to none
As backups now.
Maybe we should call Chaz Green and see if he's available?
I am sure he would accept Stephen's fair offer.

Sounds good...better make the invitation soon as I am down to my last 200 bottles.

If I remember correctly, you're also a scotch aficionado. Yes?

If I were Dak i'd sue Jerry for negligence.

Maybe Jerry's plan is play two LT's or 12 personnel with both TE's helping Ball and Zeke the lone back for added blocking protection.

"this joke isnt funny any more"

Just have him and Romo do a class action lawsuit.

But, for as much as the FO screwed this up AND we can blame Jerry for MANY things, he's 100% right with the thought process of our skill guys will (and NEED TO) take up some of the slack - 2 in particular need to show they're worth their ENORMOUS contracts.
SO the O line gets a lot worse and you expect two players that depend on the O line to produce to do better?
Congratulations, you just drank a fatal dose of the Jerry Jones Kool Aid.

Oy. Dak better get used to running.

I guess I am going to say it.

Unless there is some deflection on Jerry's part to put the agents and other trading teams off the scent, this message is a clear statement that the Cowboys mgmt team is not serious about putting out the best current available talent on the field.

This is either a ploy or it is now determined to let this squad ride the consequences of injury without reinforcements.

My reasoning is based on the available cap space going into the first week. Why would you save it? For Lamb and Diggs? That is like saying the upcoming 2022 season's roster woes are irrelevant because we are saving for the 2023 season. Who does that???

lol @ narcissist deflection logic.

The "smartest and logical" thing would be evaluating your roster and every other team's roster for the best available plug-in for Smith. This is GM 101. Deflecting will not make most readers or listeners misunderstand what his actual responsibilities are in this circumstance.
Yet there are no "plug in" LTs, not this year not ever, that would be like losing your starting QB and just waiting for someone to cut a Matthew Stafford,, not happening.

Such an old TOOL.....so unbelievably successful in business but he thinks he can BS his way through this. Everyone knows we need at least one OT and probably two but he comes out with this crap. So sick of him.

Yep, we at least need one more guy.

Think if Tyler Smith gets injured.

Or, Heaven forbid Cee Dee Lamb...

You need guys who can pass block. We've got the guys who can run block, we need pass protectors.

I get what you mean, but in reality there are roster issues with teams where they just can't make the numbers work, and have to dangle a guy out there.

Teams have talented players every year that don't make it.

Tackle can be a little different, but not always. It would be worth looking around there, at least. Leave no stone unturned.

That's how I would roll.
