Jerry Jones, Cowboys see Micah Parsons as an "integral" part of the future

Nov 08, 2024 at 12:31 PM

FRISCO, Texas – As the trade deadline approached last week, there was some speculation as to whether or not the Dallas Cowboys would move Micah Parsons. That speculation was baseless, and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones wants Parsons to be in the fold for the long run.

"No, absolutely not." Jones said on 105.3 The Fan when asked if the team had considered trading Parsons.

Dak=CD=Micah=another 4-5 years of NOTHING to show for it!!!!
This team will surpass the 35-year mark of not even going to a Superbowl.

Herschel Walker was the most integral part of our 90's teams as well.

Now this is something I finally agree with the Jones about! Build the D around Micah. Once and for all.
Jerry is an offensive guy. If you think we are going to start winning games 17-14 you are fooling yourself.

Jerry would rather lose 38-35 than win 13-10.

I am pro Parsons supporter but I'd flip him for a Herschel Walker type deal in New York min and for me, it has nothing to do with his mouth/personality. Injuries at his position scare the heck out of me .........

Same fear that I have. His success is built on his agility and speed. That is not sustainable over time being undersized and doubled.

We have all seen him fade after week 10 over the last three years - including the playoffs. He did not get out of the gates this season and now he is injured with a high ankle sprain. I am sure that won't slow him down at all when he is back.

On top of that his run support is not impressive.

Now if Jerry got a dominant DT that could push the pocket, that would make Micah's job easier and he would face less double teams. However, Jerry is to dumb to comprehend that.

I'm wondering if the 3-4 scheme would be a better fit for him.........correct me if wrong but a lot ( maybe most ) pass rushers his size and speed played in the 3-4 scheme.

KC pays Mahomes, Kelce, and Chris Jones top money. They also have the top paid Center, and top 5 OT in salary.
Are they paying a LB as the best player in the NFL?

Are they paying an average QB like THE BEST offensive player in the NFL

Are they paying a good CB who cant tackle top 5 CB money?

We can not and should not pay Parsons
