Just my opinion, but if he mans up like this and shows heart, and the rest of the team isn't aware of how much they need to pick it up and show the same kind of grit, that they need an EKG to make sure their hearts are even beating.

for sure

My concern would not be the pain or the zip on the ball as much as how much will this effect his accuracy? I commend Romo for wanting to play but before he can even think about playing this weekend he will need to be at practice and show he can handle game situation from something as simple as taking snaps from center to throwing numerous passes during practice and hitting his targets.

Why trade for Roy when we could field TO, Jerry and Crayton?

Hahahaha! Why hire a head coach when we could just get the best offensive and defensive coordinators available and have Jerry manage them as the "real" head coach. Wait we're already doing something similar to that right now except Jerry calls the older one the head coach instead of defensive coordinator and the young one the assistant coach instead of offensive coordinator. These are just titles of course because Jerry likes to "empower" people and likes to give a little more, a title, you know to build moral, show appreciation and therefore motivate his coordinators to act as heads when he is busy marketing. Jerry pays both of his coordinators $3 million a season and when players want to be in the playbook a little more they just have to go to Jerry and he just approves their increased implimentation into the playbook. He just gets the coordinators to draw it up for him and then make sure Romo is on the same page.

So far Jerry has went 13-3 last season like this and now he's 4-2 like this. 12 years without a playoff win though. Only 3 of those 12 years he actually had a real head coach "Parcells" to build the team up again and leave so Jerry could be HC "again" because once Jerry see's he has a talented team "again" that's what he does, try to be the coach. When they stink though, go hire a real football guy for a few years to clean up the shop. Jerry played on the offensive line back in Arkansas so he knows football, lol.

** I actually love Jerry but some of this joke is true. Best owner in the league to market your team and get the resources (players) and sometimes the coach (Jimmy Johnson, Parcells). I doubt Jerry believed from the start he had a championship caliber coach in Wade but what was he supposed to do, tell everyone Wades really a lame duck caretaker who could make us look good in the regular season but do squat in the real games? Jerry is waiting to see Garrett grow and if he don't he knows there a couple real generals out there next year anyways while this team is right out built for that general.

Especially since you won't be taking pain meds in practice but you would more than likely take them for the game. that can't be beneficial for his accuracy or just plain old ball handling. The Rams will come to attack.

And if Romo gets hurt worse and is out of the season, Wade might as well submit his resignation Monday morning.

Pre-emptive strike.

If he doesn't win it all with the talent Jerry's given him, his fate is a foregone conclusion anyway.

He doesn't have the balls, he'd just let Jerry boot him out at the end of the season and get the full $3 mill for being a lame duck defensive coordinator that relies on high scoring offenses.

True. Watching last weeks Rams game in all honesty they looked bad and if not for some stupid turnovers by the skins the Rams would not have won since they clearly were being outplayed. Rams only chance at winning this upcoming game is by getting turnovers. I'm not sure having Romo with a broken finger playing is the right thing to do.

I know Favre played with a bustede thumb but what is being left out is Brett did not play great in those game where the thumb was causing him to have turnovers as the ball would slip out of his grip at times and the Pack went on to have a bad season that year. I commend the guy for having guts and playing through it but if you are doing more harm than good during the game then the team pays for it.
