Jerry "The King" Lawler - heart attack

For the wrestling fans out there.

Someone has been posting some great videos on Youtube

Search for WWE Legends of Wrestling:

Their are multiple episodes, some in full, some in parts.

They have a round table of 4-5 former wrestlers or announcers and they discuss certain topics.

I have enjoyed watching them the last couple of weeks as a time waster. These will appeal more to those who used to watch wrestling or those who have watched it for a long time...I kind of doubt a young person would like them as they don't cover as much about today's wrestling stars.

I enjoyed the Heatseekers and NWO ones the best thus far.

Jerry Lawler is in a few of the episodes...like him admitting to breaking Paul E Heyman's (sp?) jaw on purpose.

Great to continue to see news that he's progressing well and getting better and better.

Thanks also for the video idea. I'll check those out for sure.

Sad situation. Pathetic thing on WWEs part was the week before they ran an angle were Lawler couldn't return because he was having "heart troubles"... Week later look what happens.

No one seems to care about that, it makes me mad. Someone of his age shouldn't be said to be having medical issues that are a possible reality. I am also really sensitive to this stuff so maybe no one else cares.

He's not sad. Just glad to be alive..the immediate attention he received from the WWE saved his life.

Yep. If he was at home he probably wouldn't be here. Doesn't change the fact it is a sad situation..

Also he was eating steak and fried onions 4 days post op. Like JR said Lawler is a fool and this could have been seen far in advance

Didn't Jerry wrestle right before his attack? Just moments before?

lots of people drop dead from heart issues. Just like he did only he had a medical team sitting a few feet away and they were able to revive him.

I guess you are trying to say WWE exploited him in some way. I am actually not real sure what your point is I guess.

The man had a major medical issue. he got the help he needed and is alive.

Sounds like everything turned out about as well as it could considering!

Yeah, his ex-wife said he eats a lot of fast foods and goes to bars after he is done with his work by himself. He needs to eat healthy and realize that just because you do some physical activitiy, doesn't mean you can eat whatever you want.

After reading a couple wrestling books, it's stunning the life wrestlers led... And maybe still lead. Beating up their bodies 6 sometimes 7 days a week– and then you have the "decompression time" which seems to have included drugs and alcohol for much of the time.
