He has all the tools. With an off season of lifting, hopefully a better pass rush, and some experience he is good to go.

I think it's those guys that have been persuading him that Watkins is the guy. Before Wade got here, Jerry was telling the media how he planned on moving Henry to FS. After Wade, he's done a complete 180.

If you improve the pass rush, you dont have to have a guy that can cover for 8 freaking seconds.

Watkins will look great with a decent rush, no need to burn a freaking 1st rounder on a free safety.

Just to be clear, I don't have a problem with Jerry's smoke blowing.
And Jerry is not unique ... he has plenty of company on draft day: smoke

Because it is unwise for Jerry Jones to tell people of his draft day plans, it is naive to take him at his word at such times.

That's a pretty weak example of Jerry "blowing smoke" quite frankly.

Other guys played with worse.

For $11 Million, I expect the guy to play like a top corner.

It's also not my example to defend. But it is an example of blowing smoke, which has always struck me as defined as saying one thing and doing another. I just didn't think it fair to modify the criteria.

I don't think we'll draft a safety - never have. I also don't think Jerry's "blowing smoke", and I don't agree with his reputation as the great deceiver has merit.

But I do think what he posted qualifies as "a single example."
