Jerry sending message to Zeke at PC

Jerry is our slimeball owner/GM, and I personally love it! He's taking control of his team and its salary cap. He runs the team, not the greedy players.

Yes, Jerry won't pay his stars what they're worth, and will expect them to take deals for the sake of the team, meanwhile he and his sons rake in billions of dollars on the backs of these very players, but sure, it is Dak and Zeke who are the greedy ones

Instead of praising Jaylon Smith. still talking about it congratulations Jalen. Mister cowboy.

Lol. There were plenty of people sticking up for Jerry. As I stated above, most fans are on the side of management when players want new deals. Lawrence had no knuckleheadry about him and even he was branded a bad guy as soon as he wanted a new deal.
Of course they are. During the 1982 and 1987 strikes I was 100% on management's side. I even watched our scrubs played and was disappointed when the strike ended because we had a better team with them. lol I think I've evolved since them. Probably the last 5 years or so I've been more sympathetic with the players. But I understand it. Because the only thing fans care about is the team.

He's not mincing words today is he?

Getting toyed around with? Who opened their mouths about signing all 3 of these players with all under contract and started with Gurley's deal?

How convenient, shoot their mouths off and then try to turn it on the agents. Agents could care less about the Joneses and them letting it be known the ones they have trouble dealing with because they're lame negotiators without some leverage to work with like the personal attachment that Jaylon has.

Ya know who's not celebrating this today? Not one player in that locker room coming up next season because Booger used Jaylon's loyalty against other players and tried to put them in a bad view. Like that 40M BS rumor they started and the mysterious parking lot video of Bryant when he was negotiating.

That was a boatload of BS today. Never should have addressed the other players, that should have been all about Jaylon and not some hometown discount but the fact he's a Cowboy and one we do not have to be concerned about.

If I am those agents, I just got a hell of a lot harder to deal with and if I am one of those players, I'd let Booger know that was dirty pool and a low blow delivered during a happy time. Who in the hell isn't a Jaylon Smith fan? I'd bet those 3 players are and he just got used against them. I can't see him happy about that either.

Of course the fans are going to get all giddy and give Booger an attaboy, we want everyone to take less because we are not them.

I gave you a like because you brought back memories. .personally I'm not on management side I'm not on the individual side. I take everything individually and try to weigh out the good and the bad

Jaylon is about the only player I would think that would have given a team friendly deal because the Cowboys took a chance on him when nobody else would. I don't think any of the other players will be so kind.
If the other players refuse to accept a team friendly deal, where they still will get paid a Top 5 contract at their position in the entire NFL, they will soon be playing for another team. GOOD RIDDANCE AND GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR GREEDY CAREERS PLAYING ELSEWHERE.

I'm proud of Jerry and Stephen! Finally learning from the team-destructive contract deals of years past.

Gotta be honest.

I’d rather sign Byron Jones than Zeke.

And I love Zeke the football player. He’s awesome. I just think when you take into account off-field and leadership and impact of a shut-down CB vs an elite RB in today's game, I’d rather have the CB.

Especially if you can get a return for Zeke in a trade.

Zeke over Byron and its not close

I just said the same thing my cowboy brother, just not as eloquently

I was actually totally surprised all the people know how quickly they change their attitude towards what he said. then should I have been. What happened to sticking to your guns
Not talking about this situation in particular, but sometimes "sticking to your guns" means hard-headed, or stubborn.
Sometimes it's the correct and right thing...

Yeah, the team. In the NFL there is that convenient excuse of a salary cap as a masker but people don't like players getting paid even in leagues where there is no salary cap.

Go follow another team if you don't like it! lol

Some people very strong on their opinions yesterday. They change their minds like the weather maybe that's a better explanation . I guess some people don't think the entire thing through do they. Or either that they just follow the crowd. That's something I never do

And then we will rebuild again and when it's time to pay the new players the same thing will happen again. It will be a never ending cycle. Nobody who is a top notch player is going to take a discount unless there are other factors like Jaylon or who has a wife like Brady.

I get ya.

Keep thinking that if it makes you feel better.

Meanwhile, in the real world, Jerry is putting his foot down and running his team his way.

I don't think I would ever pay top dollars for a player trade the player just before he's due to earn that money. I believe in the Patriots system. . The reward is a championship. Not money. It's about great coaching. And that's what we should be going after. Probably didn't explain it right. The football fanatics know what I'm talkin about. Obviously every situation is different. There's always that one or two guys you really want.
