Screw the cap. Do what the Rams did and get all the talent that's possible. Get this team stacked. He's not getting any younger and if Dallas is ever going to get another ring then this might be the route to go. It worked for The Rams a few years ago

That Jerry does not exist anymore.
We go for the status quo.

He won’t do it.

I repeat this a lot, but Jerry knows he will be profitable so long as we’re relevant.

We don’t have to win the SB to be relevant— just can’t be below .500.

He’s more likely to “go for it” to rescue a bad team than to put a good one over the top.

Actually, they are forced to keep playing everybody and will get more injuries as they try to secure the 1 spot.
That could very well happen, have to see the seriousness of them. The big one is Williams, and as he goes, so goes that offense. It happened last year and part of this year early...the type of game they play is susceptible to getting players injured on both sides of the ball

What the Rams did ruined their franchise and wasn’t worth the ring. They’ll be out of the playoffs for years to come. Same with the Eagles. The Cowboys are achieving the blueprint for how to sustain a higher level of success.
They could be the second best team in the NFC right now.

I get such a kick out of reading the negative complainers and their suggestions. It will be so funny if the Cowboys win out from here or win out in the playoffs.
And when they don't you'll pretend you never said this and be just as blind a homer next year, as if that makes you some sort of super fan.

You indulge in fantasy, some of us accept reality. That's just how it is here.

He should of loaded this roster on Dak and Zekes rookie contract. If any other GM had Jerrys record the last 10 years he would have been fired. Hell Jerry should have been fired 20 years ago.
Fact!!!
We had dak for cheap and squandered those years because our GM thought Garrett was the next Tom Landry.
It's almost criminal negligence.

The goal of all NFL teams should be to win Superbowls. What the Rams did for their franchise was amazing! They hoisted the Lombardi Trophy for them.

Only one team is truly successful. That is the Superbowl Champions. The Rams did the smart thing.

Also, the Rams may make the playoffs this year.

I still find it funny that fans still think this is about winning the SB.

The Jones boys has said to your face "WE ARE NOT CONCERNED ABOUT THE SB" and still fans think

"THIS IS ABOUT WINNING THE SB"

Thats the education system in this country.

Haha....you just listed 2 teams that recently won Championships....and use them as an example of what NOT to do, compared to our BluePrint...which hasn't even gotten us to a NFC Championship Game in nearly 30 years.

That "blueprint " should be used as toilet paper.

And BTW...what the Rams did and what Philly did are not the same. The Rams said "scrooge the future" trafed their draft picks forbyears, and got a ring, the Eagles have continued to build for perennial success, hence them having multiple 1st round picks in the last couple drafts. They did not trade their draft picks away like the Rams did. I think they have multiple high picks in next year's draft too. They have had more draft capital than we have for many years.

Are you serious? Everything is worth a ring. It's the whole damn point. They are literally in the hunt still this year and have two less wins then us.

Been saying this for 10 years, but you know Jerry really does not care to win another SB.

It worked for the Rams because they have a legitimate GM and a real head coach with the power to hire and fire. I'm afraid that resembles nothing of how the fuhrer has been running this organization the past 28 seasons. It's apples and oranges like believing the Dallas hc has any power at all except gametime clock management.

I'm laughing at all the incredulous responses directed at Aerolithe Lion for his response early in this discussion.

@Aerolithe_Lion you need to sharpen your sarcasm pencil bro. It was fairly clear to me but apparently a significant number of people in this thread thought you were serious :muttley:

Don't look now, but the Rams would be the 6th seed if the season were to end today, and I think they finally have a first round pick after this season.
