My one solace I have with Jerry, being otherwise powerless unless I want to spend the rest of my life in prison, is that the one thing he covets most in all of this, respect and credit as a football man, he will never receive. He will die as the league wide joke he is now. I take great solace in that.

I'd be nice if I could also whisper that in his ear as he dies but that's me being selfish.

I don't think he covets respect. his goal is money and more money. if he truly coveted the respect as a football man, then he would actualy do the right thing at times and he has not. every move he makes, every move he has made has money behind it. if he truly coveted respect as a football man, he would never say, "I like the drama" and "I stir things up". all of these recent comments are nothing but marketing ploy to make sure fans aren't lost. I guarantee, he will make one significant defensive signing this off season, and a bunch of fillers. and sell hope as he does. next year he will say, we knew it was a multi year turn around and we are headed in the right direction, because!!!!

i just listened to his interview. Jerry said at the end, if they win Sunday-- he considers the team having a winning record. How you like dem apples?

its called creating your own reality and living in your own echo chamber!

when you only care about the bottom line, market value and increasing sales, this is what happens. when you don't spend in FA and then have 2,3 bad drafts in a row (the only way to add talent for Cowboys), then you end up with a team like cowboys. when you like "drama", when you like to "stir things up" then you end up like the cowboys. folks we drafted a RG at the 12th spot, because GM didn't realize how bad his defense is (I mean all he had to do was look at 2024, but when you are blind, you are blind). Booker may end up a great guard, but man, its a freaking guard and in the meantime we have an all time top 20 worst defense. when you draft Mazi Smith, Kneeland (God rest his soul, but he was average), Sam Williams and other defensive garbage, then this is what you end up with.

I can tell you this is not a one year fix. we have so many holes on defense, I don't know where to start. this is a multi year project.

bank on this: Jerry will make one significant defensive signing in the off season, get fans excited, having them thinking, "we are changing", "we are heading in the right direction", "finally!" but then the rest will be garbage filled. he already has his excuses for next year...."we knew its a multi year turn around". and sell hope. sell hope all the time to keep fans engaged.
