purpose of having a top 5 pick for Dmac. And now all of a sudden we are to believe that the Great Wildcatter/Gambler that we have come to love has turned into a milquetoast?
The Raiders & KC are prime trading partners. Our D will be set shortly and our run game will be second to none, and we'll still have 6 picks left.
I think he did also, but he was planning on using ONE pick to get it done not 2 or 3 picks. Should Dmac fall where it is a manageable situation then I think JJ will look at it. He has made it plain that he will not mortgage the furture to trade up for one player. He isn't opposed to trading up. He isn't opposed to drafting and paying a player in the top third. He keeps saying that it cost too much to get up there and cost too much after you get there for him to trade up in the top five. According to him, he isn't going to be hit with a double whammy for one player.
We will find out in a few days what JJ is willing to pay, if anything, to move up or whether he believes he will get more value going in another direction. JJ is well aware where this team is and he has to decide if the value is in one player or in multiple players.
JJ isn't afraid to make a move up or down but the Galloway trade taught him a good lesson. He will take a risk if the potential reward is big enough (Pacman).
