Wearing the other team out by running the ball isn’t a thing. This is 2022, not 1995.

If anything, a no huddle hurry up offense will wear out the defense.
Not if you have a bad passing attack and all you do is go 1, 2, 3 plays, then punt.

I'd still win the bet lol
I'm expecting (read - HOPING) that No. 21 in his likely final season in a Cowboys uniform can put out two or three games getting 150+ yds. On a couple of threads this past offseason about Elliott, I predicted he would get 1200 yds on the ground...which comes out to 71 yards per game.
If this feat can't be attained...it will speak volumes about his dropoff due to over\misuse (Zeke is 27 years and 2 months to the day)...and/or the state of the Cowboys OLine.

like I said…Kyrie Irving levels of insanity
Probably just talking too fast for you. It's okay if you can't keep up.

BTW..it certainly IS a LIE that "he can't go three plays". Mountaineer doing his thing.

He followed up giving Zeke the contract with bringing in pass-happy coaches.

Well to be honest Jerry didn't "bring in pass-happy coaches." The pass-happy coach-in-chief was already on staff. McCarthy is also pass happy but at least he understands that you need to balance things out with the run in order for the pass to be successful. McCarthy knows that even if the run is only getting 2-3 yards a pop you have to keep sprinkling it in or defenses will pin their ears back and come git your QB.

But you do highlight one of Jerry's biggest problems.. He doesn't really KNOW what he wants to be. He's been a copycat pretty much since Jimmy left town.. He drafted Quincy Carter to be his Donovan McNabb. He tried for years to find "the next Aikman.." After that endeavor fell on its face he handed the reigns over to Parcells.. but in his own words.. "That wasn't any fun.." The Cowboys are Jerry toy and he simply isn't happy if he doesn't get to play with it. Jerry saddled Wade with Garrett because he saw him as "the next Tom Landry." He kept drafting all those 2nd round tight ends because he wanted to replicate the Gronkowski/Hernandez tandem. He elevated Kellen Moore because he saw him as the next Sean McVay. Or even a Sean Payton. There are countless examples of Jerry knee-jerking to try and be like some other team. Thing is.. he has a brilliant personnel guy on staff in McClay. Just get out of his way at let him build the team. McCarthy is a good coach.. get out of his way and let him coach the time.. Now we all know this will never happen.. But we can hope.

Ask Derrick Henry about his year so far.

So on his best day he’s as good as Henry on his worst day?

look……the proof of zeke incompetence is with pollard. All the same conditions and it’s night and day.

can you imagine how much better our offense would be if pollard got 15 Carrie’s?

Jerry can justify that contract now. Now he can say that Zeke went from being once the highest paid RB in the league to being the highest paid RB/FB in the league. I'm onto you, Jerry.

Everything you said is true, and Moore was already on the staff, but he got promoted to OC with only a year of experience as QB coach, and he was forced on McCarthy.

I know.. did you see Pollard average 5 ypc on his 10 carries last week while Zeke had a whole 8 yards on 6 carries.. I can't believe they gave Zeke any carries at all....

oh.. wait.....

My bad.. I read that wrong.. It was Zeke who averaged 5.2 ypc on 10 totes and Pollard was the one who averaged 1.3...

Never mind..

you know you can’t win the ypc argument.

hilarious you bring it up after one game.

Gotta make sure you cherry pick those stats, don’t bring up this week. Hang on to that, Pollard most likely continue to be arguably the biggest playmaker on this offense

he’s been telling us all for years that ypc doesn’t matter. Lol

People still thinking Zeke is better than Pollard are Kyrie Irving levels of crazy.

This situation is as obvious as the Jaylon Smith one was.
It’s telling when they mention things like, blocking, short yardage, durability as to why he is better.

Well at this point it's two games.. but you already knew that..

Two games and Pollard has 120 total yards and a TD. Your hero hasnt even broken the 100 yard mark and no TD's.

And all with less touches. -7 yards receiving. What a stud!!! LOL

Will you miss him?

Zeke lost his vision..it happens. He used to have amazing vision and was a nimble runner even with his power. He’s a glorified power runner like the bus in his later years.
