Jerry wants to re-sign Porter but it takes two to tango

Jerruah loves to not pay players who perform. Watch many other sorry players that the Cowboys like will get deals before him.

Bingo, why these radio stations entertain him blows my mind. He literally has nothing to say besides a bunch of rabble, would make my day if the radio people were like this guy is really a distraction for the team lets yank this but content over everything is all that matters.
They get ratings from him

Agreed, and you really know what it's going to take.
Rumors were the Steelers offered 27 and he wanted 30+.
Porter will not get Gonzalez's contract, more likely in the McDuffie range, but come on, you know what CB pay looks like and where Porter will fall into.
Should have announced the resigning at the time of the trade, or, as another poster said, say "we have every intention of resigning him, next question".
Jerry saying this actually has me worried there is no definitive plan in place here.
A serious NFL GM doesn't trade a 2nd round pick unless he is resigning that player.
Jerry never has a plan,
at least, one that works.

Then open negotiations with his agent, come to an agreement, and submit the paperwork. It's not rocket science. Probably should've done this before greenlighting the trade.

Michael Parsons negotiating technique Part Deux....he hasn't even played a down, and the old man with too much money is talking....

I read that they have no plan to resign him at this time. Like Pickens last year, they expect him to play now and talk about a contract later, after they see how he fits in.
They never have a plan. And if the player doesn't agree with Jerry's demands, they'll trash them in the media. Are you not entertained?

It takes two to make a thing go right.

It takes two to make it outta sight.

This is classic Jerry.

He sows the seeds of resentment amongst fans any time a big contract is coming up.

What’s wild is once the season is over he and Stephen will have two players they need to make look greedy.

Gotta get him signed.

If so.......this becomes true.

And Dallas still has a first-right pick from it all.

Jerry is a horrible Poker player and is once again negotiating in the media.
Seriously, you don't give up a 2nd round pick for a one year rental unless you fully intend to resign him.
Or you’re Jerry
