Jerry: We'll do some dramatic things

The old drunken paternity dodger is now full on delusional. He is also a bald face liar. He knows his brand is hurt. He is just talking his book to save face. A total clown.

Anybody see Jerry on the CBS Evening News last night? Strange puff piece to end the broadcast. I burst out laughing when they promo'd it going into the commercial break. Couldn't really tell what the point was. Flew around in Jerry's chopper talking about how much Dallas area had grown and improved since Jerry bought the Cowboys, landed at the Star, talked about the cheerleaders.

Thanks for posting this.

Quality corporate network news broadcasting has annually nosedived since the early 1980s. Certainly, it is a fluff piece, but that was just a disjointedly conceived mess. And I will not even add an opinion about Jerry Jones being the focus of the piece.

I caught part of it, and it sure seemed like Jerry paid for that puff piece. It was not informative, and was irrelevant to the current situation with the Cowboys.

I turned it off as the helicopter was flying over the practice field. At that point it was just Jerry bragging about how wealthy he is.

Funny thing is Stephen already started today in the press conference towards the end basically ignoring free agency - his response to a question George Pickens and other big names was basically yes with limited space we are relying heavily on the draft this year - our focus is on the draft - like one year when we drafted mainly defensive guys - it didn’t work out like we wanted but we are focused on the draft to help this team
Not one mention of free agency
Same old stuff different day
If that is true, then next season is already a bust. They are not going to get enough day one starters to fix our defense in just the draft.

If Jerry was serious about winning, he would hire the best coach available and let that coach hire his own staff.

Until that happens, this franchise will never sniff the Superbowl.

In a year where the playoffs are wide open, the cowboys were pretty much out of the picture in late November.

If they don't get a top flight defensive coordinator in here they are not serious about pursuing a Superbowl any time soon.

I think Jerry realizes that he own window of time is closing, and he knows he has to get it done now if he intends to ever win another Super Bowl. I'm not sure I believe they will do some dramatic things, but I do believe they will be more active in free agency, and will be bringing in some top tier free agents. We will have a real early sign as to if he is serious or not - the hiring of the Defensive Coordinator will let us know if there's any truth to what he is saying.

They need to fill at least two, preferably three, starter positions in FA so the draft just has to support two new starters.
Need 5-6 new starters on D in 2026.
